What’s Happening in the Great Lakes Region– Minnesota LTAP: Held the annual Minnesota
Roadway Maintenance Training and Demo Day; actively using the newsletter to highlight important projects
– Ohio LTAP: Hosted a peer exchange through ASAP funding on Systemic Safety Improvements for Ohio’s Local Roads; implementing a Technology Transfer plan; 2013 was the lowest number of roadway fatalities since 1936 in Ohio
– Wisconsin LTAP: Helping local governments gain access to and learn to use the Wisconsin local road crash database; active with APWA, WCHA (NACE affiliate), Towns Association, and the League of Wisconsin Municipalities
What’s Happening in the Great Lakes Region– Illinois LTAP: Partnering with the Illinois
chapters of IACE and APWA, and Municipal League and Township Officials to get safety information to locals; developing on-line training
– Indiana LTAP: Helped a county develop two systemic HSIP applications to improve six to eight roads; successful equipment loan program including four iPads
– Michigan LTAP: Offering highly-demanded Traffic Safety Training sessions for Elected Officials; member of the Michigan STIC
