DIRECTOR DR. ROLAND W. MYERS holds a Ph .D. in Fine Arts Administration with special emphasis in acting/directing from Texas Tech. During his career, spanning over 25 years, he has been an educator and a professional in the field, directing over 75 productions. His production of GODSPE LL was selected to represent the United States at the Dundalk (Ireland) International Maytime Drama Festival, in which thirteen countries par­ticipated. GODSPELL won every award presented , and Myers was singled out as the Best Director of the Festival. His production of HAMLET, A MONTAGE was chosen from a field of 65 entries to be one of the eight productions to advance to the Regional American College Theatre Festival in 1981, and last year he received a special Director's Award from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. for his ACTF entry of THE FOREIGNER. He has worked and studied with such directors as Ronald E. Schulz, Marshall Mason , Zelda Fiechandler, Adrian Hall, Joseph Chaikin, and Morton DaCosta. He is married and has two children.

TECHNICAL DffiECTOR JIM CARROCCIO is the MMNT Technical Director. Some of his numerous credits include: Art Director for the ARLO GUTHRIE SPECIAL and LEGENDS OF COUNTRY MUSIC II, KLRU-TV PBS; THE MOST HAPPY FELLA and GOOD NEWS!, Zilker Park Summer Musical; THE SLEEPNG BEAUTY BALLET, Austin Ballet Theatre; and FARIES KISS for Ballet Austin. The productions of A MURDER IS ANNOUNCED, PRESENT LAUGHTER, WHODUNNIT and COME BACK TO THE 5 & DIME JIMMY DEAN JIM­MY DEAN have won him numerous ACOT nominations and awards. In 1985, Jim received the honor award in "Fine Arts" from the Austin Chapter of the American Institute of Ar­chitects. MMNT set designs include ONCE UPON A MAT­TRESS, HAY F~VER and THE MIRACLE WORKER which he received a recent ACOT nomination. Jim is currently designing GYPSY at Capitol City Playhouse in Austin and THE NUTCRACKER for Incarnate Word Ballet in San An­tonio.

MUSICAL DffiECTOR BROTHER GERALD MULLER is beginning his ninth year at SEU as music director. During his 40 years as a Brother of Holy Cross, he has graduated from Notre Dame University, received his Master 's Degree from VanderCook College of Music and worked with some of the finest choral conductors in the world including Robert Shaw, Joseph Flummerflet, Nor­man Luboff, Eric Erickson, Frank Pooler, John Alldis and Sir David Willcoks. Last summer he went to Wales to study with two contemporary composers, Alun Hoddinnott and William Mathias. He has written a hundred books for young readers including a biography of Martin Luther King, Jr. and presently sings with the Austin Choral Union.

COSTUME DESIGNER SARA MEDINA-PAPE is a St. Edward's University adjunct faculty and Theatre Costumer. She designed the costumes for our recent Summerstock shows, NIGHT MUST FALL and HAY FEVER. For her outstanding work on HAY FEVER, Sara received an ACOT nomination. She has also designed the costumes for THE MIRACLE WORKER. She holds an MFA in Theatre Costume Design from the University of Texas and a BA in Political Science. Other costuming credits include CRACKERJACK, RAGS TO RICHES, BYE-BYE BIRDIE, DRACULA, COSI FAN TUTTE, the KLRN production of NEWSCAST OF THE PAST and the movies BLOOD SIM­PLE and NOT FOR YOU. Prior to her work in theatre costume designing, Sara worked for ten years as a fashion designer/tailor in San Antonio and Dallas.

CHOREOGRAPHER RENATA POWERS SANFORD has performed in many Broadway shows - HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS, PLEASURES AND PALACES, SKYSCRAPER and SWEET CHARITY, to name a few. Ms. Sanford has worked with Bob Fosse, Michael Kidd and other mstinguished choreographers . She is chairman of the Southwest Committee Cecchetti Coun­cil of America with whom she holds a licentia teaching degree . Ms. Sanford has choreographed LI'L ABNER, MUSIC MAN, CAMELOT, ROAR OF THE GREASEPAINT, BOYFRIEND and HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS. She is a SEU faculty member and teaches for other stumos. This year, she was awarded a grant by St. Ed's to continue her studies at Michigan State in Cecchetti technique.

LIGHTING DESIGNER DON DAY makes his debut at St. Ed's with this show, but has been the resident lighting designer for Zachary Scott Theatre since 1981. Don holds an M.F.A. in lighting design from the University of Texas and over the past 10 years has had many opportunities to work within the Austin community. Don has won 3 ACOT awards. In 1985, Don designed lights for Zachary Scott's production of ANGELS FALL in England.

GUEST ARTIST RODNEY RINCON began his acting career as a chorus boy in summer musicals and as a spear carrier in summer Shakespeare in his native Houston, Texas, while a student at the University of St. Thomas. Since then, he has worked with such prominent companies as The Alley Theatre, The Houston Grand Opera, The Juilliard School, The New York Shakespeare Festival and the American Place Theatre. Mary Moody Northen Theatre audiences remember Rodney from his recent appearances in EL GRANDE DE COCA COLA as Don Pepe, as Elyot in PRIVATE LIVES and as Sidney Bruh! in DEATHTRAP. Film and television credits include THE LEGEND OF BILLIE JEAN, WITCHFIRE, SONRISAS, THE ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK JONES AND PROC­TOR WATSON and, most recently, the premiere episode of BUCK JAMES, starring Dennis Weaver. Rodney just com­pleted work in the Paramount Theatre production of THE FOREIGNER and is completing work in his first starring role in the forthcoming film, NEVER LEAVE NEVADA, a South of Canada production due for release late next year.

WHO'S WHO IN THE CAST KENNY ATTAL, freshman, has appeared in the productions of BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS, GREASE, and ARSENIC AND OLD LACE. This is his first show at SEU.

PETER BEILHARZ is a native Austinite and a junior at SEU. He has appeared at MMNT in JESUS CHRIST, SUPERSTAR, THE MUSIC MAN and ONCE UPON A MATTRESS.

KATIE BLACKWELL, from Plano, Texas, makes her freshman debut with this show. She has performed in AND THEY DANCE REAL SLOW IN JACKSON ... for which the cast won an UIL One Act Play Contest, and BLOOD LETTING, both with the UT Sum­mer Theatre Workshop. VALERIE BLYTHE is a junior theatre major from Dallas. Past credits include THE MUSIC MAN, BYE, BYE BIRDIE, THE PRIME OF MISS JEAN BRODIE and THE MIRACLE WORKER. GAYNELLE CALDWELL is a sophomore theatre major, who has acted in AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS, ONCE UPON A MATTRESS and THE DARK ROOM. GINO CHELAKIS is a junior theatre major from Houston, Texas. Previously, he has appeared in TWELFTH NIGHT and WORKING and was recently seen in CHARLEY'S AUNT. DAVID Di BLASIO is a third grade student at Molly Dawson Elementary School. This is David's stage debut. He is interested in computers, electronic toys and games.

JILL MARIE DUGGAN is a freshman from Laredo, Texas. Jill has been involved in theatre since she was five and continued her study of drama throughout high school. She is making her MMNT debut. SHARI GETZ is a sophomore theatre major from Houston and has appeared in the MMNT productions, THE MISER and ONCE UPON A MATTRESS. CHRISTINE L. GILLESPIE is a sophomore theatre major from Vail, Colorado. She has performed in ELECTRA, LI'L ABNER and CINDERELLA. This is her first SEU production. BRENDEN HALL is a freshman making his first appearance at MMNT. His previous acting credits include the 50's musical ROCK-N-ROLL. MIKE HAMILTON is a sophomore theatre major from Ankeny, Iowa. His acting credits include ONCE UPON A MATTRESS, WAITING FOR GODOT, ARJA DE CAPO, and THE AMAZING EASTER ADVENTURES OF SAM THE BOLD AND HER BUNNY. He has written for the local group, KIDZ KLUB.

CYNTHIA HASKETT is a senior theatre major from Aransas Pass. She has appeared in ONCE UPON A MATTRESS, A ... MY NAME IS ALICE, A SLIGHT ACHE, JESUS CHRIST, SUPERSTAR, THE MUSIC MAN and BORN YESTERDAY with Robert Mandan. She was also the 1986 Sumrnerstock Assistant Technical Director. RON HAYES is a sophomore theatre major from Denver, Colorado. His acting credits include MEDEA, WAITING FOR GODOT, A ... MY NAME IS ALICE and CHARLEY'S AUNT. MARY PATRICIA HELTON is a staff member at St. Edward's. She has appeared in the MMNT production THE MUSIC MAN and in the 1986 Alumni show CORPUS DELIRIOUS. Mary is a veteran of 5 Zilker summer musicals and is currently involved in fund raising for Zilker Park. JANET HEMINGWAY is a native Austinite and works as a substitute teacher for AISD. While this is her first appearance at MMNT, Janet has appeared in the shows GODSPELL, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF.

ANDREZ HERRERA is a junior from Cotulla, Texas. His many credits with MMNT include PUENTE NEGRE, directed by Chilean actor Patricio Achurra, THE MUSIC MAN, JESUS CHRIST, SUPERSTAR, and BORN YESTERDAY with Robert Mandan. Andy designed the costumes for MERRY CHRISTMAS, MR. WEATHERBY for which he won an outstanding award for his work. JEFF KLOC is a sophomore theatre major and is making his debut on the Northen stage. He has acted for Kidz Klub in COMMAND PERFORMANCE and THE ROOM­MATES and in the directing scene EXTREMITIES. DARLENE JOY KRENEK is making her first theatre appearance at MMNT, but has been a part of the Hilltoppers and Omni Singers at St. Ed's . GREGORY MAGYAR is making his debut at MMNT with FIDDLER. Other produc­tions include MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and ROMEO & JULIET at the Texas Shakespeare Festival. In Houston, he was seen in ALL MY SONS and THE TEMPEST. MERISSA MARIAN is a junior theatre major from Austin. Her appearances include J.B. with Carol Bruce and Adam Wade, VERONICA'S ROOM, LI'L ABNER and LADIES AT THE ALAMO directed by Flora Plumb. Merissa also performs in the local group PLAYS FOR LIVING. JAMES T. McGOWAN is from Minnesota. His SEU credits include AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS and THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST. CHRISTIE ORTH is a junior Arts Administration/Acting major from New Orleans, Louisiana. She has assisted in costuming, two musicals, and was a principal dancer in AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS and JESUS CHRIST, SUPERSTAR. Christie has appeared in THE MISER, SAM THE BOLD, ONCE UPON A MATTRESS and BORN YESTERDAY. JIM REMITZ is a senior acting major from Austin. He has appeared with Kevin Cooney in THE MISER as well as THE MUSIC MAN, JESUS CHRIST, SUPERSTAR and BORN YESTERDAY with Robert Mandan. JAMES RIPPEE, an SEU sophomore from Springfield, Missouri, has appeared in numerous high school and community theatre productions including GODSPELL, THE FANTASTICKS, YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN and made his SEU debut with AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS. JAVIER H. SALINAS is from Pearsall, Texas. He has appeared in ONCE UPON A MATTRESS and AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS. KARSTEN SETHRE attends Doss Elementary School and has appeared in various theatre productions, including OLIVER, AS YOU LIKE IT and MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR. DIXIE SMITH is a senior acting major and has appeared in the MMNT productions of MEDEA and THE MIRACLE WORKER, as well as THE TROJAN WOMEN and THE KING AND I. ANA MERCEDES· TORRES is a senior theatre major from Austin, Texas. Her MMNTcredits include: THE MUSIC MAN, MERRY CHRISTMAS, MR. WEATHER­BY THE PRIME OF MISS JEAN BRODIE and THE MIRACLE WORKER for which sh; received an ACOT award for her role as Helen Keller. JAMES VENHAUS is a sophmore theatre major from Houston. His MMNT credits in­clude THE MISER, NIGHT MUST FALL, HAY FEVER and CHARLEY'S AUNT. GALE WARREN is a freshman from Corpus Christi.
