PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

PREREQUISITES: Must be of Junior standing in a Criminal Justice major (or a major very similar in relation) with a GPA of 2.5 or higher and have successfully completed CRM JST 110.

STUDENTS: When filling out the Field Placement Application, please list your choices in order of preference. Placements will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. If you cannot be placed in the agency of your choice,

you will be placed elsewhere, based on your stated interests. Students should not attempt to set up their placement. The Field Placement Project Assistant is responsible for this process.

NOTE: Placements are not always available for each agency listed; this varies each semester.A 3-credit placement requires completion of 96 semester hours and a 6-credit placement requires completion of

192 semester hours. Some agencies may require more than 8 hrs/week from the student.Undergraduates are limited to a total of 6 credits. Graduate students are limited to a total of 3 credits.

No student is guaranteed a placement merely by submitting an application.Field placement agencies will accommodate students with learning disabilities and physically disabilities.

FEDERAL AGENCY PLACEMENTS: These placements are very competitive and there are limited positions available. Plan to apply at least 6 to 8 months in advance. Some agencies require you to apply online. Preference is given to

Graduate students and those interested in Federal Government careers.
