FIELD TRIP TO MALACCA CITY, MALACCA. INTRODUCTION On October 2, 2013 , five students from Diploma in Information Technology ( Azam, Fazren, Azfierol, Alif and Rashid) had a trip to Malacca, located about 125 kilometers from where we learn that UTHM Johor. The visit was aimed at increasing their knowledge about the history of Malacca very famous before the formation of Malaysia. Melaka also been recognized as a historical city and has added more external and domestic visitors to visit historical places. TRIP OBJECTIVE The purpose of this visit was also to find out more about the history of Malacca and interesting palace there. In fact, we can know the materials and tools available to the golden age of Melaka government at one time. Lastly, Diploma students can complete their assignment on the subject Technical Communication. FIELD OBSERVATION At exactly 9:00 am, we began our journey to Malacca by rented car. We safely arrived in Malacca at 11.15am. The place was filled with visitors from various countries such Germany, United Kingdom and many more. We decided to ride River Cruise prior to sightseeing the environment of Malacca City. On the boat at the River Cruise, we were heard about the history of Malacca by conversation between the boat driver and tourists. We have shown the old houses that have been renovated to attract attention. We also introduced the mangrove trees that block wind and facilitate traders to enter the waters of Malacca, located in a strategic

FIELD TRIP TO MALACCA CITY, MALACCA.

INTRODUCTION

On October 2, 2013 , five students from Diploma in Information Technology ( Azam, Fazren, Azfierol, Alif and Rashid) had a trip to Malacca, located about 125 kilometers from where we learn that UTHM Johor. The visit was aimed at increasing their knowledge about the history of Malacca very famous before the formation of Malaysia. Melaka also been recognized as a historical city and has added more external and domestic visitors to visit historical places.

TRIP OBJECTIVE

The purpose of this visit was also to find out more about the history of Malacca and interesting palace there. In fact, we can know the materials and tools available to the golden age of Melaka government at one time. Lastly, Diploma students can complete their assignment on the subject Technical Communication.

FIELD OBSERVATION

At exactly 9:00 am, we began our journey to Malacca by rented car. We safely arrived in Malacca at 11.15am. The place was filled with visitors from various countries such Germany, United Kingdom and many more. We decided to ride River Cruise prior to sightseeing the environment of Malacca City. On the boat at the River Cruise, we were heard about the history of Malacca by conversation between the boat driver and tourists. We have shown the old houses that have been renovated to attract attention. We also introduced the mangrove trees that block wind and facilitate traders to enter the waters of Malacca, located in a strategic place. Our journey in this River Cruise takes about 45 minutes covering the 6km course.

Before proceeding with other activities, we take a short break to enjoy delicious cendol found near the River Cruise. Cendol stall is often met clients despite the limited seat. This kind of cendol the best because it served very tasty and has its attractions. We are entertained by a shop assistant with very perfect and finished in serving our food within 5 minutes, although many visitors at that time. Soon after that, we traveled to the Sultanate Palace.

We are less fortunate when we want Sultanate Palace visit closed because of restoration works undertaken by the state government to increase the sultan collections in it. Our next to St. Paul Hill who are behind Sultanate Palace. At the top of the

establishment of the St. Paul's Church which was established since 1521 AD by the Portuguese. There are some stones which have information about the church that we have read in addition to knowledge.

After that, we all proceed to Dataran Pahlawan to enjoy our lunch together. We spent an hour there and gather all before the Taming Sari to continue building the next one. We arrived at Menara Taming Sari at 4.30pm. The next activity is the ride height of the tower with almost 800m above sea level. While in the thread, we can see the sights around Bandar Hilir Melaka. We are also told by the management of each building and the waters that we see through a glass tower. We enjoying the natural panorama of Malacca as it went to the peak.

After that, we went to A’Famosa Fortress by rode some trishaw and saw the evening view of the A’Famosa .We also took some pictures of old cannon nearby the fortress. Before we leave the Malacca city, we managed to buy some merchandise such as keychain. We leave the Malacca City around 9.30 p.m.

CONCLUSION

We gain some new experiences about the history of Malacca since all of us were not from Malacca.We know a little bit background of the invader who tried to conquer the Malacca from the Sultan. Besides, we also could saw the magnificent view of Malacca CIty since this was the first time we got there.
