Emotional Intelligence or EI is the ablitiy to understand emotions of yourself and others. It is not only about being nice, but also being assertive, compromised and polite in order to deal with different people from different background. The person who have EI is considered to be more successful in life because he knows and recognises what emotions does he have at the moment and can manage those feelings, as well as understand and have empathy for others.

Moreover, Emotional Intelligence plays a great role in business and it is a important qualification to have in both staff member and leaders as it can help solving conflict, also building relationship between workers to work more effectively, achiving goals together.

External communication is about exchanging information outside an organisation, could be from external customers, suppliers, shareholders, the council or the government.
