Sculpture – January 23, 2012

• I was assigned ten thumbnails to draw for my new sculpture. I am creating a clay creature, either mythical or real.

1. Wedge - Mix the clay, push out the air2. Mold - Forming the clay into a shape (coil,

pinch, or slab) – tell the steps for coil, pinch or slab.

3. Air-Dry - Clay becomes bone-dry.4. Fire the clay in a kiln to form bisque. 5. Glaze the bisque ware and let it dry. 6. Fire the clay in the kiln again.7. Finished piece of pottery
