2. Configuration settings

2.1 Filter before or after the run

By clicking on filter machinings in the tree, you can decide in the configuration setting if the filtering should take place before or after the run. If the checkbox is activated, all settings set under filter machinings are filtered after the run. This means that the filtering is performed, for example, after rotate, mirror, flip.

2.2 First-/ Second program

Under this setting you can decide if the first or second operation should be filtered. If the respective checkbox is activated, then the corresponding machining side is filtered (the 1000 or 2000 program). The example would be that each side element obtains a machining from the top and bottom. If the checkbox filter first program is activated, then 1000 file is not generated for this side element.

Following settings are possible:

Description Explanation

Filter all vertical drillings With an activated checkbox all vertical drillings are filtered.

Filter vertical drillings by diameter With an activated checkbox the diameter of the drilling must be entered with vertical drillings.

For assigning a diameter, mark the entry with a right mouse click and select the function add in the context menu.

Enter the diameter in the appearing dialog and then leave the dialog via the green checkmark again.

It is important that a point is used as a separator with an 8.1mm drilling, for example. A comma is excluded!

Description Explanation

Filter all through holes With an activated checkbox all through holes in vertical direction are filtered.

A through hole refers to the drilling when it cuts the zero side.

Filter all horizontal drillings With an activated checkbox all horizontal drillings are filtered.

Filter horizontal drills by the drilling diameter

With an activated checkbox the diameter for filtering must be entered with drilling diameter for horizontal drillings.

Filter out lineborings by drilling diameter

With an activated checkbox the diameter must be entered with drilling diameter for lineboring.

Enter the diameter in the appearing dialog and then leave the dialog via the green checkmark again.

It is important that a point is used as a separator with an 8.1mm drilling, for example. A comma is excluded!

Only vertical lineborings in X, Y, XY are considered!

2.3.1 Contours

All outer contours can be filtered via this filter. This means that if sequence of operations is on on CNC or after CNC for edges, then these edges will not be output with milling. If the outer contours have to be filtered, then the checkbox must be activated with filtering outer contours.

2.3.2 Workgroups

Via the workgroups complete work groups can be filtered in imos.

For defining, the entry must be marked with a right mouse click and the function Add must be selected in the context menu. The name of the work group must be entered in the appearing dialog.

It is important that the name matches exactly with the element name of the workgroup. Please pay attention to the use of lowercase and capital letters as well!

2.3.3 Machine type

Machine types defined in imos can be filtered via the range machine types.

Define the machine type in imos via the workgroup and afterwards change to the CAM Manager. By right clicking on the entry filter machine type, call the context menu and select add there. In the appearing dialog the machine type for filtering must be entered.
