Using the acrylic roller or FIMO clay machine, roll outhal a block o white to an approx. 3 mm sheet.

Do the same with hal blocks o peppermint andpurple. Place the coloured sheets on top o each otherand cut the edges straight.

Divide and stack again so that the striped pattern isrepeated our times.

Tip:Unfnished items and let-over bits o material canbe stored in a sealed plastic bag or airtightcontainer, e.g. a plastic box or jar.

Now, place the lid on the sheet and careully bend theFIMO around the rim. Use the acrylic roller to smoothover the edges and cut o any excess FIMO.

For the lid, roll out a 3-4 mm thick uni-coloured sheet.The sheet should be at least as large as the size othe lid plus the height o the rim.

Next, smooth over everything and remove anyunevenness with the acrylic roller.

For the eet and handle, orm 4-5 equally sized ballsout o 1 strip o FIMO eect glitter silver.

Arrange the slices on the balls and continue to rollcareully in your hands until the slices are properlyembedded in the glitter silver. Then place the ballson the work surace and roll at an angle in order tocreate a pointed end.

Cut lots o uniorm-sized thin slices o this cane.The appealing dotted pattern on the lid handle andeet is made as ollows: Using lemon FIMO sot, rollout an approx. 1 cm thick and 5 cm long sausage.Then wrap an approx. 3 mm thick sheet o purplearound it.

Always take care to ensure that the edgeso the sheet join exactly and do not overlap.Otherwise the pattern will be distorted.

The next layer is white FIMO, then peppermint, thenlemon again etc. You can, o course, vary the order othe colours or the approx. 5 layers.


Tip:High piles o FIMO and thick canes are easier to cuti you push the rubber lip o the blade backhal-way. Then it doesnt get in the way whileyoure cutting yet protects your hand nevertheless.

Now all that remains to be done is position thehandle on the top and, with the pointed edge acingdownwards, the eet on the bottom and press on.Next, harden the pot and lid in the oven or30 minutes at 110C.

Once cool, a coat o FIMO gloss varnish adds awonderully shiny fnish to the pot.

Beginning with the largest and fnishing with thesmallest, place these circles on top each other on thelid and press on gently.

You can add a touch o pep to the lid with a coupleo circles made out o dierent FIMO colours.

To do this, roll out a number o 3-4 mm thick sheetsand, using biscuit cutters or hand-made papertemplates, cut out dierent-sized circles.


Tip:It is best to put both the top and bottom o the potin the oven separately, standing them on theirwooden rims. This prevents them rom alling overand ensures nothing gets squashed.To check to see whether the pot will stand straightlater on or not, careully place a piece o card ontop o the eet. Then you can see whether the eetare straight or need correcting.
