Treasury Academies: Beginner & Intermediate Levels

A nationally recognized accreditation ocused on the investmento public unds. Participants will learn basic level skills, tools andundamental concepts to manage investment portolios. The courseis designed or participants who have limited knowledge o cashmanagement and public unds investing. Who Should Attend:

state and local government treasurers, business managers, investment

ofcers, cash managers, and other fnance ofcers and their stawho are new to governmental fnance, recently appointed, electedor looking to expand their knowledge base on the undamentals oinvesting public unds. A boxed lunch will be provided at the CPFIM

Accreditation Program.

These intense all day seminars serve as basic training classes ornew treasurers and great reresher courses or returning treasurers.The Academy provides continued educational opportunities andpoints toward CPFA certifcation or treasurers. The Beginner

Academy will include classes such as: Role o the Treasurer, Budget

Preparation, Basic Investing and Understanding the Audit ProcessThe Intermediate Academy will include classes such as: How to Dea

APT has many manuals available or additional training throughthe Public Treasury Institute. These training programs are held atvarious state institutes and conerences. APT also oers these trainingprograms at the Annual Conerence to allow attendees additionalopportunities to enhance their education. The APT TrainingPrograms are oered on Tuesday aternoon.

The Guide to Internal Controls APTs NEWEST manualthat complements our successul internal controls checklist. Thechecklist has been updated and incorporated into a training manualto assist attendees on the importance o proper internal controlsand how to apply the checklist to their public entities.

Cash Handling Certifcation Improve your entitys cashhandling skills by learning how you can become a cash handlerOnce you complete the certifcation process, you can train yoursta and improve your cash handling operations.
