Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology has been the forerunner of agriculture research and

education in our country. Established as a highly technical and residential University, G.B.P.U.A,&T., Pantnagar has

produced many ingenious minds with exceptional technical skills and value system. The University aims to nurture

scholars who will contribute to the society and the corporate world.The College of Agribusiness Management, the first Agribusiness College of the country under State Agriculture

University system, provides excellent learning environment and tremendous opportunities to the students for

G.B. Pant university is the first in India to let technology

with agriculture. This is a symbol of successful

partnership between India and the United states.

The establishment of the university brought about a

revolution in the agricultural education research and

extension, it paved the way for setting up of 31 other

agricultural universities in the country.

The university has a total of 763 teachers and officers 59

technical staff, 631 administrative and ministerial

personnel and 1425 class III employees amounting a

total 2878. The number of students in the university

ranges between 4200-4400. Thus, the teacher taught

ratio is about 1:6.
