Sub : Supply of Substation Equipment, EAEP 10/99 -lot 2 : Enquiry for Soil Resitvity Measurement at Existing EEPCO Substations.

1.0 Ircon International Limited (IRCON), A Government of India Undertaking hereby invites tender quotations for carrying soil resitivity measurement of substations as per following scope of works and terms and condition.

2.0 SCOPE OF WORK

2.1 The scope covers all the work required for measurement of electrical resistivity of soil and submission of report for 8 nos. of substation which are detailed below.

2.2 The scope includes mobilization of soil resitivity measuring instrument to the respective site and associated equipment, providing necessary engineering supervision and technical personnel skilled and unskilled labour etc. as required to carry out complete measurement of soil resitivity at respective locations.

2.3 The agency required to quote unit rate for each substation for carrying out above scope of work.

2.4 The agency should have a valid calibration certificate of the instrument proposed to be used for measurement of electrical resitivity of soil.

2.5 IRCON reserves the right to carry out the soil resitivity measurement at all locations or any number location/locations without assigning any reason thereof.

4.0 ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY TEST

4.1 This test shall be conducted to determine the Electrical resistivity of soil required for designing safety-grounding system for the entire bay extension area.

4.2 The specifications for the equipments and other accessories required for performing electrical resistivity test, the test procedure, and reporting of field observations shall confirm latest standards and shall be conducted using Wagner's four electrodes method. Unless otherwise specified at each test location, the test shall be conducted along two perpendicular lines parallel to the coordinate axis on each line a minimum of 5 to 8 readings shall be taken by changing the spacing of the electrodes from an intial small value of 1.0m upto a distance of 20.0m.

5.0 Terms and Conditions

5.1 The validity of offer shall be 30 days from the date of opening of offer.

5.2 The price quoted shall include carrying out the above scope of work and also includes accommodation, food and other expenses to it personnel required for executing the scope of work.

5.3 The quoted rates shall be inclusive of all taxes and duties as applicable.

5.4 No Advance payment will be paid, 100 % payment shall be done against the invoice through cheque payment.

5.5 IRCON will provide the transportation facility from Addis to the substation location to the personal required for carrying out soil resitivity test.
