Mongolians take Xian.

A revitalized Parthian empire

has renewed its assault to thelimits of the barbarian society.

The conflicts between the

specifically it has been reported

to this newspaper that Beijing,

the key military and trading

centre over the silk road in

China, has been conquered by

the mongolians along withJurchen Jin, and it has been

named Zhongdu, this leaves

China without a centre of

political, social and economic

command, increasing the

barbarian chances to conquer

China and acquire more military

power, a threat to the Roman

empire.

Barbarian Hostilities.

By hearing about the outbreak

of Barbarian hostilities in China

and in the limits of the RomanEmpire, the emperor has

decided to send his colleague

with orders to command the

legions stationed in the East to

face the invader. The war is

thought to have its start by the

The Roman Empire is marking

the end of the classical period

and the times of the feudalism

would begin. It is important to

know the importance of the

empire because in this times the

humanity are making a few

discoveries that will became

critical in a future period.

Despite the age of gold in the

Roman Empire the human race

is falling in the stage of the

feudalism. Consequently

humans do not see new

scientists advances thatprobably would be until the

beginning of another century.

There is a work social division

based in an interregional

commerce that built an

economy direct by an efficient

market system. The majority of

people think that the fall of

Roman Empire will be cause bycontinues attacks of the

barbarian tribes but it is not

completely true; the collapse of

the interconnected economic

will have a big relevance.

In the same way the social

welfare state (bread and circus)

supported by the Roman Empire

became weak the economic

save of all the Empire. The

reason of this is because the

roman emperors are worried

about the admiration of their

people and they do not think

about the way to carry a

continuous economy develop.

In addition the roman

government distributes free

food for all the roman citizens,

this situation cause that the

agriculture is not profitable

economically. For this reason

farmers have left land zones andhave moved to cities where the

food is free and they do not

have to work for getting it.

Consequently, the population in

most of roman cities is

increasing exorbitant.

Notably the poverty in some

cities raise and the output of

food decrease worrying.Consequently roman emperors

execute economy policies to get

better the circumstances; one of

this ways is to create inflation in

the empire economy to solve the

evils of the increase expense,

but it have a bad consequence

because the price of rations and

other goods of first necessity

increase prime. In this way the

political interventionist of the

emperor place maximums prices

in most of goods that

consequently is creating

shortage in the way of amplifies

the demand and decrease the

supply of it; these government

abuses create distortions and

inefficiency in markets. Now

the roman emperors have

established laws to prevent the

migration of farmers to the

cities, condition that laid the

foundations of the feudalservitude.

Briefly the trade in the Roman

Empire is destroying; the traffic

of grains and essential items

have disappeared. The citizens

have to move to the land to

grow their own food and not die

by the shortage of rations in the

cities. People are tired of taxesimposed by emperors and the

government interventionist. A

final point is that the Roman

Kingdom is unable to adjust it

moral code and it legal system

with the demands of the market

economy.

The question we all ask

at this point is: What will

happen now in our

empire of the West? The

years old boy. The

Empire should not be in

the hands of a small child

because clearly he is not

ready to assume this

important position. In the

other hand there are

people who believe that

the general and the child

couple would be a

constructive team to

solve the issues Rome

currently has. However,

this leaves our empire in

a very worrying position,

because our enemies

seeing an Emperor so

young they will not

hesitate to attack us.

Secondly, our eastern

neighbor has Arcadio as

emperor, the eldest son

of Flavius Theodosius

not much older than his

younger brother.

The analysts are concern

Throughout the years,our army has been thetool to rule the world.

Mainly because theRoman militarytechnology is currentlythe more advanced.Given this introductionwe will present you thenewest weapondeveloped by ourintellectuals andphilosophers in Greece,which is the main point

to sustain the governmentover the empire. We aretalking about the Ballistaa device compound of anarch and a bucket.

The early ballista was

developed from two

weapons called oxybeles

and gastraphetes. The

gastraphetes ('belly-bow')

was a hand held

crossbow. It had a

composite prod and was

spanned with both hands,

with a ratchet preventing

it from shooting while

loading. The power

available was not

sufficient to be used

successfully against

armoured troops. The

oxybeles was a bigger

and heavier constructionemploying a winch, and

was mounted on a tripod.

It had a lower rate of fire

and was used as a siege

engine.

Since these weapons

delivered lighter

munitions (thus

delivering less energy on

impact) it is a widely

held opinion that our

army could used more as

an anti-personnel role, or

to destroy lighter

structures. A less

accurate weapon like an

onager or other single-

arm artillery could hit

with more force, and thus

would be the more useful

weapon againstreinforced wood or heavy

masonry.

handball championship

was ended by the news

than our beloved Roman

Empire had been divided

in two, the west RomanEmpire and the east

canceled.

hope because the two

emperors have decided

that theres going to be a

GREAT FINALMATCH BETWEEN

THE BEST PLAYERS

OF THE WEST AND

EAST ROMAN

EMPIRES!

Oh yes people, like the

rumors were saying,

theres going to be a

great final matchbetween our great

empires.

This match will be

divided in two matches,

one in Rome coliseum

and the other in the

hippodrome of

Constantinople.

The rules in this match

will be a little different;

we all know the rules of

the normal handball

game in which the

players are put in front of

a wall, then a ball is

given to them and the

point of the game is to

throw the ball to the walland then a player of the

other team using only the

palm of his hand must do

it again and so on until

someone loses.

Now the difference in

these new rules for this

especial game will be

that the players will be

gladiators and they have

to throw the ball WITH

THEIR SWORDS and if

they accidentally cut

another player, it is

allowed.

And finally the loser

team will be throw to

the lions!

So dont you miss this

especial games, the first

will happen in

Constantinople the first

day of November at the

dawn and the second one

will happen in the first

day of December at the

dawn, and in the next

dawn the losing team

will be throw to the lions.

The matches will last

from dawn to sunset so

bring food and water, and

besides the usual

One of the most amazing

events this year is the

celebration of the first

official lectisternio. Our

newspaper was right

there covering the event.

Let us see what we

found. This event was

named as lectisternio

due to the general

tendency for the guests

including gods- to lie on

beds while they are

celebrating.This

exclusive celebration

took place at the temple.

As we saw, one of the

most important things of

the event was the

presence of the deities:

Apolo and Latona, Diana

and Hercules, and,

Mercurio and Neptuno,

all of them attended in

couples. The purpose of

this celebration was to

honor the gods, and it

was done with a great

banquet, in which they

were invited to

participate, even, we saw

that there were beds for

them to be more

comfortable, great idea!

Wasnt it? .As every

good pagan ceremony

there was a priest, or as

they use to call him, an

epulon, and he was in

charge of the rituals

performed during thewhole celebration.

For our correspondents it

was really strange to see

gods statues lying in

beds, but they told us this

celebration was a

complete success, so

much so, it lasted about

eight days!! Its amazing

how much gods can

celebrate.
