    c)Yashwantroa Chavan Maharashtra Open Universitry:

The YCMOU is located at its headquater in nashik has develop the learn and earn scheme by

considering the needs of the Industry. Indias Industrial sector has an ever increasing need for trained

Manpower especially in the context of the massive growth plans of this sector. It is also acknowledged

fact there exists a huge chasm between what university education currently offers and what the world of

work actually requires. With a view to bringing this gap, the university has embarked on a number of

initiatives under the YASH UDYOG banner. Collaborative arrangement with M/s Lupin Ltd for the joint

offering of a B.Sc programme in Industrial Drug science and with M/s Mahindra and Mahindra, Nagpur

for a B.Sc programme in Industrial Science are already under way. A Govt. Approved Learn and Earn

who picked up as apprentices in the automotive sector- the Tata automotive group, Bosch, etc- and

supported in their education by the concerned industry. While effort such as these are undoubtedly goingto prove beneficial both to the individual as well as the organization as a whole, there is now a need to

develop an intensified strategy so as to make a tangible and discernible. It is from this viewpoint that

YCMOU is attempting a small beginning by bringing the two worlds of education and industry together

    through learn and earn scheme

    d) Collaboration between Lupin with (YCMOU):

In a major initiative under the industry-university collaboration, the Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra

Open University (YCMOU) at nashik has signed a memorandum of understanding, MOU, with

pharmaceutical giant Lupin to educate its trainee employees on their plants. As per the MOU between the

university and the college of pharmacy, Nasik, the employees who join the company after HSC will be

enrolled for a three year degree programme B.Sc in Industrial Drug Science at the study center of the

company in Aurangabad where MVP Pharmacy College will Provide them for a free cost

accommodation, food, besides paying them a handsome stipend.

The collaboration was signed by Diwakar Kaza, President, Human Resources of Lupin Ltd and Dr

Prakash Atkare, Register of YCMOU. The university believed in developing courses according to the

needs of the industry, thereby making its students more employable. Lupin was undertaking such projects

due to its commitment to the cause of corporate social responsibility.

Still there are some areas which is needs to be improved which are need to be focus.

In the end to ofthis report I would like to specify that the project allotted to me on student trainee Earn

and Learn scheme was a huge help to understand the working environment of an organization there by

providing a primary source of experience. In this project while studying Learn and Earn scheme I got

opportunity to interact within shop floor and in telephonic process to interact to observe their behavior

and attitude towards management and company. In the end I would like to thank the whole H.R group,

Contract supervisor and student trainee for co-coordinating with me for gathering information for my

project work at Lupin Ltd and helping me in accomplishing this project and boosting my assurance by
