A Wondrous Morning
The morning became balmy asthe sun peaked through theforestry. The wet, dewy grassfelt crisp between my toes as I
walked to my favoritesycamore tree. The air smelledof pollen and the bees werebuzzing for it. I wore my sheetfrom bed again mistakenly, remembering that I had gottengrass stains on my silk sheets
last week. A traveling butterflylanded on my shoulder andfrom that point on, I knew it
was going to be a good day.

Dive on inThe stakes were high, and I fear for what I might loose. Theysayto win, you must risk loss, but I still feel indecisive on thematter. If I loose, I loose everything Ive worked for in this life.If I win, I can finally attain my wildest dreams. To back out nowwould cause an uproar and might even cause more pain thanits worth. So now I just say fuck it, and dive in to this murkywater which I may or may not ascend from.

Love LabyrinthI am in love. And when I say this, Imean my mind and heart are in ittogether. Like two young siblings, they have been on opposing teamsfrom the get go. But now, workingin unison was an unfamiliar feelingthat I don't quite know how tohandle. What to do with all thesefeelings of truth, beauty, and love?
Am I not a human being capable ofperceiving these as happy thoughts?I feel giddy, but will this feelingonly be short-lived? Will I growtired and move on? Or will my love
bloom into something moremeaningful that cant even beexpressed in words. I dont know
which way to turn in this maze ofamazement, but perhaps by thetime I reach the end, I will know.

Iridescent
How can we live like this? Knowing that this substance that keeps our livesmoving is spreading. It has seeped into our ocean and is now washing up toshore, revealing the corruption, and covering all that lie in its path. Whymust we always be searching for natural resources that are on their way toextinction. What will we do then? What are we doing now? Why cant wepush money hungry decisions aside, and remember to appreciate the earththat consoles us. The earth that feeds us and shelters us. The earth that we areabout to suck dry. Where will we be then? Probably dead, but thats ok, whocares about your childrens children anyways.

Designing the
SoulIm in a sea of patterns and
mixed emotions. This euphoria
of colors and shapes has made my
mind wonder. This era ofmisfortune and blunder can be
seen through the likes of artwork
and song. I can see the rhythm of
colors fabricating time. I can
sense the words being expressed
by symbols and shapes. I can feelthe essence of beauty living in
our souls, waiting to come out in
the form of a motif.

I looked out my window to see my yard vibrant and full of life. The sunwas high in the sky and shined down on the floral and shrubbery
throughout the garden. Numerous flowers were praising the weatherand the abundance of vitamin D that soaked in through their petals. Isaw a weary rabbit munching on some dandelions, as the petuniasdanced in the breeze. The basil waved at me, motioning to come enjoythe wonders of nature. And I though, just for today, I want to be Alicein my backyard wonderland

LatisseMy eyes are heavy, but not with
sleep.
The powder on my nose remindsme of my past.
The gloss on my lips masks the
words that come out.
The curls in my hair cant hidemy secrets.
Im all done up, but for what?

The High Road
Today is not the day to shedpetty words on theungrateful. I sense wordvomit climbing up my throat
and ready to spew at anymoment, but quickly swallowthem back down. I must bethe bigger person and simplywalk away, and take thisdetour in life. It may seem abit passive, but a stroll might
be just the thing, and let myfeet do the talking. Today isthe day to take the highroad.

CinderellaMy work is never done, and my life seems like a rerun. Myheart weighs a gross ton, waiting for my loved one.
Sometimes I wish I could run, or just had a gun. Once this
battle is won, perhaps then I can go have fun, and seek out
that loved one, to which one day I will bear his son.

The Tea Party
The weather was perfect with not
a cloud in the sky. It was mid
afternoon in the month of May.
My patio was set with a lacey
table cloth and covered in my
grandmothers fine china. Tea
and crumpets were to be served
precisely at 2pm. The feather
from my derby hat tickled my
cheeks as I sat and waited for my
guests to arrive.
