Mr.Man

my first new piece was inspired by my old piece African animal and it is called Mr.man.

CraftI used only pencil for this piece and regular draw-ing paper.

CompositionFor this piece I wanted the viewer to really see the mans features first.

ConceptI wanted my audience to see a man with really dark features almost like a monkey.

Monkey man

For this piece I choose to make my previous piece Mr.man bigger and expand the details and it is called monkey man.

CraftThis piece was made with only pencil and regular drawing paper.

CompositionI wanted the viewer to first see the body that was added to the mans face.

ConceptI wanted the audience to see a man/monkey per-son.

Chimpanzee

For this piece I choose to use bright colors because I usually only draw in black and white.

Craft1.I used pencil to first draw an outline of the picture2.crayons to go over the picture and bring life to the drawing3.maker to give the picture a little sparkle4.And regular drawing paper to create this piece.

CompositionI wanted the viewer to see the the bright colors on the piece first because of the colors that are visible then the details on the chimpanzee , the leaves, and tree branches.

ConceptI wanted the audience to see a forest or jungle when they looked at the drawing and a kind unusual face for a chimpanzee.

Clear Blue

Craft-I used paint to make the picture look more splashed on to get the idea of rain being the main focus of the art and that’s why i used blue.

Concept-I used blue to show that the rain was really icy and the yellow background shows how the sun reflect-ed on the tree and rain.

Composition-For this picture I wanted the audience to notice the shapes in the picture and how they make forms.

Question

CraftThis piece was made using green, black, and blue crayons to describe a usual scene that so many people including myself have seen on many occa-sions that have had an affect on me and so many others. And this is always an question to me on why this scene happens.

ConceptThe concept behind this piece was a scene I usu-ally see and that scene is a crime scene in my neighborhood crimes are always happening and I almost always see some one on the ground lay-ing there dead or hurt and I put Ia question mark there because it always puzzles me to why these crimes happens so much they need to stop they are getting out of control.

CompositionWhen people see this piece I want them to see something that needs to stop.

Bright Nature

Craft-This piece was created with sharps by dotting objects on the paper.

Concept-This piece was inspired by the line work of Frida Kahlv, the color concepts of Batik design, and the similar line work like mine by Sarah Whitfield.

Composition-When creating this piece I wanted the audience to notice how the bright colors and dots create a naturing picture.

Collide

CraftThis piece was created using combinations of all of my pieces. The tools used were paint, pencil, marker, and crayons.

ConceptThe idea behind this piece was to combine something from all of the pieces I created over the past weeks and to create a very new piece that had characteristics from all of them and collide them together.

CompositionWhen a audience looks at my piece I want them to be able to see all of my pieces in this one piece when they are all layed out together.

Godma

Craft This piece was created using pencil and crayons.

ConceptA few years ago my Godmother died of natural illness and I al-ways wanted to draw a picture of her just to get some confront for myself. So this piece is for me a tribute to my Godmother and a piece of mind for myself.

CompositionWhen people look at this picture of my Godmother I want then to see a wonderful person. I want people to see a women who was strong, independent, loving, caring, and giving person. My Godmother did so much for so many people i just want people to see her like me and so many other people saw her as a phenomenon women.

Outline

CraftThis piece was created using pencil and crayons.

ConceptThis piece of art was inspired by a tree that I was star-ing at and I really liked the outline of it and how it curved and made different shapes and figures.

CompositionWhen people see this piece of art I wanted them to see a tree that has life to it in a dark why.

Tear

CraftThis piece was crafted using a regular pencil, color pencils, and regular drawing paper.

ConceptThe idea behind this piece was me feeling overwhelmed by college and crying a lot because of it. The tree and the clouds in the picture are represents when I go outside to relax surrounded by flowing trees and clouds that reflect my mood.

CompositionWhen people see this picture I want their eyes to travel with the curves of the tree, then to the clouds. How the rain falling from them are dropping on the girl who was crying. I want people to get an overall tearful feel from the picture.

Bag boy

Craft this piece was created using pencil only and was made on a regu-lar piece of drawing paper.

Concept In my high school drawing class we had to draw people based on how they were standing and how they were shaped.

Composition when people see this piece I want them to be able to see a boy standing like he actually has a book bag on but you can’t see the bag.

Peace

Craftthis piece was crafted with a pencil.

ConceptThe inspiration behind this piece was the peace sign. In my high school art class I had to drawn something that represented your cul-ture. I feel the peace sign is a representation of my african american culture because of all the things my people have been through. Things like slavery and racism and I feel the piece sign is the perfect symbol of what African Americans want and have been fighting for years.

CompositionWhen people see this piece I want them to feel peaceful.

Swag

Craft this piece was crafted using pencil and regular drawing paper.

Concept This piece is another example of people we had to draw in art class.

Composition when people see this picture I want them to be able to see how the boy was actually standing, how his head was leaning, and how his arms was posi-tioned.

Line girl

Craft This piece was crafted using pencil and regular drawing paper.

Concept this piece was inspired by a drawing I saw that was drawn using only lines to creat them and I wanted to do one only using lines as well.

Composition When people see this piece I want them to see a giel on a stool who appears to be thinking about something.

Concept This piece was inspired by a vas my high school art teacher made. It was very dark looking and had lines that looked like vines and I wanted to go off of that and added other things to it to make it even more dark and crappy looking.

Concept This piece was inspired by a vas my high school art teacher made. It was very dark looking and had lines that looked like vines and I wanted to go off of that and added other things to it to make it even more dark and crappy looking.

Composition When people see this piece I want them to get a dark feeling from the lines .

Mr. diva

Craft This piece was crafted using pencil and regular drawing paper.

Concept I went to my friend model show and in the show it was both female and male models. I really liked the way one male model posed at the end of the show.

Composition When people see this piece I want them to see a male model.

Fashion girl

Craft This piece was creating using pencil and drawing paper.

Concept This piece was also inspired by the fashion show I went to and I really liked the dress that the model was wearing.

Composition When people see this piece I want them to a high end fashion model.

Big brother

Craft This piece was crafted using pencil and regular drawing paper.

Concept My brother Carlos died a couple of years ago of a blood clog and I couldn’t go to his funeral because he lived in Alabama and I liv in Chi-cago. So I wanted to draw him to get some comfort for myself because I couldn’t see him before he was buried. I wanted draw him when he looked the best to me and that was when he was dressed in his marine uniform and I wanted to had add the United States flag, a bird to sym-bolize being free, and a quote my brother said that he wanted people to do when he died.

Composition When people see this picture I want them to see my brother as a man that represented what a hero is and that he was peaceful soul.

Will Smith

Craft This piece was crafted using pencil and drawing paper.

Concept In my art class in high school we had to draw a picture of a celebrity and I chose Will Smith because he has always been one of my favorite rappers, actors, and a wonderful representation of what hard work can get you.

Composition When people see this piece I want them to see will Smith as the great man I see him as.
