Font Style: -Lucida Calligraphy -I chose this front for its simple elegance.
Colors: -Turquoise/Teal- helps to open the lines of communication between the heart and the spoken word. -Pink- calming and embracing. -White- brings balance into the design and helps the pink and turquoise blend.
Module 6: Thinking About Visuals at Work
For module 6, I created a presentation in Prezi about designing museum exhibits. This presentation shows how I could use my writing skills and knowledge of history to create exhibits.
This module explains a career that I would love to pursue some day and the skills it would take to pursue that career.
Prezi

The screen capture below was the first background for my presentation in Prezi.
While the background fits the contents of the presentation, it causes readability issues in places throughout the presentation.
!
To fix the problem of readability, I added gray shadowed circles and squares behind the text.
The shadow boxes make the text easier to read, but does not overly distract from the picture.
Module 4: Presenting with PowerPoint
In module 4, we were instructed to make a powerpoint presentation on a specific color.
The color my group used for this module was white.
I chose to redo this module because it demonstrates my skills with presentation software and I also found the content interesting.
PowerPoint !!!!!!!
!
This is a slide from the original powerpoint that my partner and I submitted.
Our feedback said that the presentation was too wordy and could use more visuals.
! !
Following recommendations, I cut down on text, combined ideas, and took others out.
I also implemented more pictures to accompany the representations of white listed in the text.
Module Selections
I chose do include these two modules in my portfolio because they showcase my ability to work with a variety of programs.
By including these two modules in my portfolio, I will have more examples of my abilities to be a diverse and useful editor.
