PROJECT PROPOSAL
Background:
An interactive installation about aerobic exercise to introduce to young people the correct, effective, and funtechnique to do aerobic that helps to keep the body fit with frequent exercise.
Problem Identification:
As we reached the age of 40 and above, the body tend to be more vulnerable towards deceases because of poor healthy lifestyle. Aerobic is proven helpful in reducing health problems and delay the process of aging.

There are comparison occur especially in aerobic classes that are affected by level of participants and types of classes they offer. It may also influenced by gender, environment, race, media, and education background.

Specification on most of the aerobic activity is based on gender. There are some activity that they think only suitable for men such as weight training. It is because of the differences in physical body of male and female.
Problem Identification:
The music of aerobic dance, its unique routine, and venue are the factors that shows the culture of certain dance. For example Indonesia poco-poco dance and western ballroom dancing.
Theme:
Some prefer to work out alone and undisturbed in their own personal space. It is easier for them to exercise at home with technology approach such as Wii Fit, through online media, and DVD’s.

As user walks following the footsteps on the floor, they will see their obese-size visual image slowly reduce and become smaller bit by bit.
Problem Identification:
When user reached the last footstep which is the ending point, the projected image on the screen will reflect their own body size and no longer the obese-size body visual. It is to illustrate that we can be in a good physical shape just by walking.
Theme:
Projected image of user’s obese-size body on the screen to give visual picture to user the feeling of obese people. Also to give awareness that it is not too late to prevent obesity.

Instead of normal walks,music can be included and can be joint with one of the aerobic dance types called stepping dance. It will be just a simple step dancebased on a catchy background music. Instruction will be given tothe user and footsteps willbe placed on the floor to guide users.
