1. INTRODUCTION

Before joining APIC College in Sydney, I have been exposed to professional industrial experience where I have

been working in the capacity of Team Leader Operations for 4 years in India.

Being a post graduate in Masters in Business & Management (2009 batch) from India, it has been much

comfortable for me to accomplish & achieve excellent performance at work. Started my career as an executive I

managed to quickly climb the ladder as a Team Leader where I had an opportunity to handle & lead a team of 15

advisors.

However, to reach the expected heights in career I always urged to work as an expert in Project Management

field. So I applied & got admission in APIC as a student for eth course of Masters in Business & Project

Management.

During this first semester pursuing MBPM, it has been an opportunity as well as a challenge for me to be able to

understand the aspects of Project Management and implement the same in our project report and assignments.

Following has been few summarized points that enabled me to understand the Project Management concepts:

1. At the beginning of the course my Socio-Cultural competencies were low that I developed during my

first semester, as I had an opportunity to work with multicultural team and International standards.

2. With respect to Technical skills like understanding Project Management Fundamentals at the initial

phase of the course I had absolutely negligible knowledge of any concepts.

3. However with the help of lectures, notes, and tutorial & study material I have been able to understand

the Project management skills well in detail.

Post completion of this course, I aim at getting a job as a Project management professional specialized in

Strategic Management with a good understanding of International policies & framework to deal with strategy

formulation globally.

The following document outlines my competencies in Project Management fundamentals modules namely SBM

1101, SBM 1102 & SBM 1201 along with Socio Cultural Competencies from initiation till completion of first

semester.
