STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Scope of Work & Responsibilitiesof Structural Engineer

-Robustness, Safety, Economy, Serviceability, Availability to build. Analysis, design, calculate and decide material specification

of structure

Inspect on-site construction work

Satisfy client's needs

Consult with Architect & Surveyor Produce conceptual of design/structural component for safety

Carry out final examination

Stage of Construction

Back up the team in

recognizing defects

Produce final drawings

Undergo final examination, provide counsel for final account.

After ConstructionFinal load test is required to ensure the building from collapsing or damage.

RECORD Drawings

Structural Drawings Structural Drawings is a technical drawing that shows details information.

Applied maths, physics and science concepts to design structures, resulting in stability and sustainability of the structure.

Record drawings• Revised set of drawing submitted by

a contractor upon completion of a project or a particular job.

• They refl ect all changes made in the specifi cations and working drawings during the construction process, and show the exact dimensions, geometry, and location of all elements of the work completed under the contract.

Reinforcement drawings • Fully describe and locate all reinforcement

in relation to the fi nished surface of the concrete and to any holes or fi xings.

• They are primarily for the use of the steel fi xers

Standard details • A drawing or i l lustration that is accurate and

comprehensive enough to be used in diff erent projects with l i tt le or no changes.

• Standard detai ls might include: Standard Notes Column bases and pi le caps Concrete box culverts Expansion or Construction detai ls
