Programme Overview
The purpose of this training is to enhance
your existing Excel modeling skills and
learn how to build and modify financial
models faster by learning and applying
industry best practices. The seminar
highlights the core financial model design
and construction techniques that every
modeler should know. This seminar will
allow participants to adopt a structured
and comprehensive design strategy to
develop rigorous financial models, in less time and with greater accuracy.
This hands-on workshop will also teach
you how to perform risk analysis and
apply uncertainty into a model and
undertake a more dynamic analysis to
improve decision making by developing a risk assessment into an @RISK model.
Requirements
Attendees should bring their own laptop,
ideally one they are accustomed to
using, with a Microsoft Windows
operating system, with Microsoft Excel
2010 or 2013 installed and have a basic
understanding of MS Excel (e.g. syntax of
IF statement, purpose of $s for anchoring
cell references).
The Mac version is radically different and
it is not recommended to use during the
course.

Mr. Dimitris Leimonis is the
Managing Director of
Financial Arena, a London-
based consultancy
specializing in financial
modelling, data analytics,
business intelligence, firm
valuation and risk analysis. He attained in
becoming one of the first financial modelling
experts globally to be accredited on the 2
major financial modelling standards. He is an
experienced finance professional with an in
depth 20-year experience in financial markets
and has hands-on experience in a number of
industry sectors, including financial services,
education and retail. In the business training
area, he has provided training to more than
1,000 banking and business professionals
focusing on financial modelling, data
analytics, asset allocation, portfolio
management and risk analysis. Partnered with
Microsoft to run bespoke training camps on
Data Analytics and Financial Modelling in
Greece and Cyprus. He holds an MBA from
Drexel University, specializing in Management
Information Systems and Investment
Management and a BSc in Banking and
Financial Management from the University of
Piraeus. He is also a certified Financial
Modeller, Portfolio Manager and Investment
Consultant.

HRDA Criteria
**To be eligible to apply for the HRDA subsidy
you need to meet the following criteria:
You are working as employee on a full
time basis under a company that is
registered in the Registrar of Companies in
Cyprus
Both yourself and your company submit
the relevant contributions to the Social
Insurance and Industrial Training Scheme
Your participation is invoiced to and paid
by the company
You meet the participant profile of the
programme
Your company submits the respective
HRDA application to CIIM.
