Portable, Powerful and Precise

MiniOX® ResponderFor detecting low levels of oxygen in confined

spaces or in any location suspect of oxygen deficiencyor enrichment, the MiniOX Responder is the premierunit for immediate assessment. A peak (lowest) read-ing of the total percentage of oxygen detected is dis-played at the push of a button. An intermittent beepwarns when oxygen enrichment is detected. This low-rate alarm can be reset while oxygen enrichment isstill detected. However, when the MiniOX Responderdetects insufficient oxygen levels, a high-rate alarm isactivated and locks out any attempt to reset the unituntil it is removed to an environment where the oxy-gen level exceeds the warning level.

MSA’s MiniCOResponder offers a peak reading, as well as continuous readings,of carbon monoxide levels present in theimmediate environment.

The Responders feature a large LED displayfor easy reading in dark, confined spaces.

Now, detecting potentially hazardous concentrationsof carbon monoxide or oxygen, or dangerous emissionsof hydrogen sulfide, is as simple as pressing a button. With MSA’s Responders, you’ll have instant knowledgeof silent dangers that may be threatening your immedi-ate environment. Now, with the Responders, you canrespond swiftly and confidently.

MiniCO® ResponderCompact and lightweight, the MiniCO Responder

provides fast, accurate sampling of CO concentrationsfrom 0 to 999 parts per million. Ideal for firefighters, gas utility emergency crews or workers in a steel mill, the MiniCO Responder identifies hazardous situationsimmediately. When lower levels of CO are detected, the MiniCO Responder gives a warning or “lowalarm.” When higher levels of CO are detected, theunit sounds a “high alarm,” emitting fast, shrill beeps.

MSA Responders feature simple three-button control foreasy operation. With the press of a single button, theResponder will display a peak reading of its target gaswithin seconds. Both a Fresh Air Setup and adjustablealarm setpoints are standard in both Responders.

MiniH2S® ResponderIn pulp and paper mills, water and waste treat-

ment facilities, and oil refining or exploration sites, thepresence of hydrogen sulfide can be hazardous to safeworking conditions. In lower concentrations, irritationof the eyes and upper respiratory tract may occur. Inhigher concentrations, hydrogen sulfide can precipitatefull respiratory paralysis. That’s why engineers in thesefacilities should carry MiniH2S Responders at all times.

Like the MiniCO Responder, audible and visiblewarnings or alarms are activated when gas concentra-tions exceed two pre-set levels. A “Warning”(W) orlow alarm is activated when a lower concentration ofhydrogen sulfide is detected. A distinctive pulsingalarm is activated when a higher concentration isdetected. This “High Alarm” (A) can be cleared onlywhen the concentration drops below the alarm set point level.

MSA Responders are designed for worry-freeoperation with heavy gloves. Three wide buttonsactivate a full range of programmable functionsincluding in-field calibration. MSA Responderunits also include a low-battery warning alarm.

The sensor at the endof a 10-ft cableallows the MiniOXRemote Responder todetect oxygen levelsin confined spaces.

The MiniCO and MiniH2S Responders are now available with a vibrating alarm. There are three methods of notification of an alarm condition: audio, visual and physical. The physical alarm is ideal for users in noisy work conditions or users who prefer to carry the instrument out of sight, such as in a back pocket. A strong vibration alertsthe user in an alarm condition.

MiniOX® Remote ResponderPerfect for identifying oxygen deficient or

enriched atmospheres, the MiniOX Remote Responderoffers unparalleled ease of use and reliabity.Equipped with alarms for both oxygen deficiency andenrichment, it is the ideal instrument for confinedspace entry monitoring. The MiniOX RemoteResponder comes equipped with a dynamic rangesensor attached to the end of a 10-ft cable, allowingdetection in even the tightest of confined spaces.Examples of confined spaces where the MiniOXRemote Responder can be used include sewer entryand tank monitoring aboard marine vessels.
