finding stuff: making uca library resources discoverable in the university vle/lms
DESCRIPTION
Research produced from the University for the Creative Arts Student Experience Conference 2013 found students wanted to find UCA Library resources directly from their course area (in the University’s Learning Management System LMS which is currently Blackboard). Students also stated they responded better to visual icons - such as those used for mobile apps. Working closely with this feedback, Maria and the project team developed over fifty highly visual Library learning resources that can be pinned to a course or unit – and be centrally managed. This outcome has greatly reduced workload, duplication and the need to fix broken links in multiple courses/units.TRANSCRIPT
