• History Strand o Personal history can be shared through stories and pictures o Photographs, letters, artifacts and books can be used to
learn about the past o Change over time can be shown with artifacts, maps and
photographs o Events in local history can be shown on timelines organized
by year, decades and centuries o Primary and secondary sources can be used to create
historical narratives o Different perspectives on a topic can be obtained from
a variety of historic and contemporary sources o Use of primary and secondary sources includes the
examination of the source’s credibility
