This grand piece was inspired by my time spent on the high road to Taos with the Rio Grande far below. I have combined turquoise, Idaho plume agate, carnelian, gold filled Swarowski crystals, tiger’s eye and sterling silver to try and capture the elements of water, earth and nature. Inspired by the natural world, I find inspiration in the smallest of details in a grand world. I most often begin my adventure in my backyard sanctuary where I tend to my native plants and medicinal gardens.

Each piece is an individual journey of collecting the organic elements a nd gathering gemstones that resonate with the essence of the plant material.

My creative process begins with the discovery of the tender Indian plum leaf or a fallen, almost transparent, vine maple leaf that I hand paint with precious metal clay. From this stage I fire it in the kiln to reveal the metal adornment with the organic impression within it… this is my favorite part!

I am a passionate alchemist collecting soul (sole) elements and infusing their resonances into a most intentional and artful adventure.

It is then sent to the casters to be cast into gold, sterling silver or bronze.

The properties of the plants and stones are designed to be synergistic and set forth for the intended recipient a vibration higher than the individual elements alone.
