SMALL GROUP BIBLE STUDIES—Beginning the

week of January 13, Small Group Bible Studies will

meet for a 12-week study of the Parables. Sign-up for

the studies will be held after each Sunday morning

service on January 6 and 13. The study books will

cost $5.00 each.

A BIBLE OVERVIEW (ABOV)—The Christian

Education Council is pleased to announce a 12-week

study to be conducted by Linda Ebert. A Bible

Overview (ABOV) will present the main themes of

the Bible along with key people and major events

in chronological format. This is open to anyone

interested in increasing their understanding of the

Bible as well as those new to Bible study. The study

will begin January 9 at 2:00 PM in the Missions Room.

Sign up for this event on either Sunday, December 30

or January 6 following the morning services.

COPIES OF THE STORY—a condensed version of

the Bible—are for sale in The Nook today, following

the morning services. They are $5.00 each. The Story

will be the text for Pastor Bill's series of Bible studies

starting Tuesday, January 8, at 1:00 PM.

OFFERING ENVELOPES—Please take your

box of 2013 Offering Envelopes from the table in the

entryway to Gerig Hall today.

ALL CONTRIBUTIONS for 2012 need to be received

in the office or postmarked by Monday, December 31.

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE Monday, December 24, at

5:00 PM will feature the Christmas story through a skit,

special music, and candle lighting. Expect a blessing!

BAPTISM—A baptismal service is scheduled for

Sunday, January 27, at 12:15 PM. If you are interested

in being baptized, please check the appropriate box

PIONEERS

Tucson, Arizona

Tim and Julie serve the tribal people of the

Americas. They began their ministry to the Navajo

people in 1988. Tim is now Pioneers' Area Leader

for the Mid-Americas. He was part of a retreat for

Area Leaders recently where they had opportunities

to share their hearts and report on the last year of

ministry in their areas. Throughout the year, Tim

visited each one of their Mid-America teams—five in

Mexico and three in the U.S. He spent three days

encouraging, counseling, strategizing, praying, and

learning. Tim wrote, “Please join us in prayer for

God’s provision. In the last 8 months we have had six

faithful support partners called home to be with the

Lord.” Tim also requests prayer for Julie and family as Tim is gone many days of the year. Pray that God

would honor these requests so that Tim and Julie

and the staff of Pioneers can continue the work to

which God has called them, so that many more can

hear the Good News of Jesus.
