Shoshone-Bannock tribes is located in Southeast, Idaho

FMC, Elemental Phosphorous Producing Plant built on tribal fee land in 1949

Early in 1998, Man-Tech began Source Apportionment study using Tribal resources

Federal Implementation Plan (FIP) drafted for FMC in 1999

FIP finalized August 2000

On October 10, 2001 FMC announced permanent closure of operation in Fort Hall, Idaho

December 17, 2001 last furnace was de-energized.

Based on recommendations from Source Apportionment Study, follow-up research began in November, 2001,

Used filters from newly constructed monitoring station approximately 8 miles Northeast of FMC in more populated area of reservation
