I. OBJECTIVE

The objective of this Fire and Life Safety Report is to provide a comprehensive Fire and Life evaluation of the safety features of this project. To ensure that there is no unnecessary danger to life and property.

II. SHORT PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project involves a proposed business building primarily used as Bank and Lending office.

III. ENFORCING AUTHORITY/IES

a. For Structural and Building Codes and Laws, the City Engineer.

b. For Zoning and other Local Regulations, the City Government.

c. For Environmental Concerns, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

d. For Fire Safety, the Bureau of Fire Protection.e. For Insurance and Accreditation, the Central Bank of the Philippines.f. For Business registration and Authorization, the Department of Trade And Industry.

IV. CODES AND STANDARDS

Construction sketch plan and Specifications submitted is in accordance to provisions of National building code, Electrical Code, Fire Code of the Philippines and approved by Agency concerned.

V. FIRE PROTECTION AND LIFE SAFETY ISSUES a. Building Classification and Construction

Building is a business type occupancy and reinforced concrete construction, structural

steel works done in accordance with pertinent specifications indicated, all electrical works shall be done in accordance to specifications. All electrical works shall be done under the supervision of Electrical Engineer and Architect.

b. Hazard Contents

Hazard contents of the project is from the use of hot works, forms, batters and scaffolds

During construction.

c. Occupancy Classification

Under the New Fire Code of the Philippines, the project is classified as Business Occupancy.

d. Structural Requirements/Separation of Building Spaces

Structural steel works on the design is in accordance to plans and specification submitted and evaluated by the Structural Engineer of the City Engineers Office.

Every section usage is provided of smoke partition, concrete type from floor to undersideOf roofing above of two (2) hour fire resistance.

e. Exit and Egress Description

i. Basis of Design

The basis for the design of the Exit and Egress of the project under Division 5 means of Egress section 10.2.5.3, exit door should have not less than seventy one

centimeters (71 cm) in clear width opening swing out the direction of

exit.

ii. Number of Exits

Due to sectional usage and concrete smoke partition the project required to provide one exit door in every section swing out to exit direction.

iii. Travel Distances

Travel distance a person may travel when inside the building measured in accordance with section of IRR shall not exceed forty six meters (46 m)

iv. Exit Calculations

Exit can accommodate almost of the occupants due to numbers of exits require in every usage.

v. Timed Exit Analysis

Exit discharge of the occupancy based on the number of exits show safety margin for occupants.

f. Fire Suppression

i. Design Criteria for Sprinkler System Building does not provide for a sprinkler system.

ii. Other Suppression system

Building does not have any suppression System.

iii. Water Supply

Water supply is provided directly byRoxas City Water District.

iv. Portable Fire Extinguishers

Approved type of first aid fire fighting equipment is provided during construction and prior to occupancy additional units will be provided.
