The ChallengeHeadquartered in Sydney, Australia, Fire and Rescue New South Wales (FRNSW) is one of the world’s largest urban fire and rescue services with over 12,000 employees.

FRNSW wanted to provide support and improve the employee experience for firefighters with a cancer diagnosis. They chose CancerAid for its evidence-based program, and quick and easy implementation process.

The SolutionCancerAid worked with FRNSW to develop an enrollment plan and program design that aligned with FRNSW’s other on-site and external support programs.

The FRNSW program included CancerAid’s participant-friendly technologies and health coaching, together with behavior change principles and accountability toward health-promoting activities such as exercise, meditation and diet.

Enrolment was driven through CancerAid supported campaigns of newsletters, employee engagement emails and text-based program awareness messages.

treatment or in the comfort of their own home. This aspect of the program has been endorsed by many
