• Developed, designed and manufactured in the UK by FireBug

• FireBug a leader in Water Mist Technologies

• 18 months of Research & Development in association with Staffordshire Fire & Rescue

• Launched in November 2014 making BBC news (type BBC eco nozzle into Google)

• In the first 4 weeks orders received from more than 8 countries

Page 4: FireBug ST15 Mist Nozzle Presentation and Videos

• Route to market is through Distributors & Fire Truck Builders globally

• Distributors resell mainly to Fire & Rescue, Volunteer Fire Services, Civil Defense and

Industrial Fire Services

• Distributorships both exclusive and non exclusive available subject to commitments,

guarantees & market positioning

• Marketing support offered to distributors in return for commitment of volume

• Markets are primarily developed and emerging markets where hose reels are used with

fire truck pump capacities of 40L to 150L @ 20 bar pressure.

With water being a valuable resource the world over, the ST15

deliberately uses less water during operation. Studies have

shown a signi cantly increased e ciency in water usage

during like-for-like product trials; a product that protects the

environment makes re ghters safer and reduces operations

costs. The WaterMist absorbs 2257kj of energy per litre verse

conventional technology absorbing 335kj per litre.

Water Saving Advantages:

Reduced operational costs

Improved turn around times

Less water damage to property

Reduced run o / Environmental

• Droplet size ST15 Droplet size is unique in the Fire & Rescue market less than 100

micron allowing extinguishing ALL types of fires including oil and liquids, still has water

jet mode

• Perfect Kinetic energy

• Sufficient hang time to allow mist to convert to steam and evaporate cooling the fire

• 20 bar pressure

• Currently no known competitor globally is able to offer this current nozzles. Globally

typically have a smallest droplet size of + 250 microns not suitable for oil fires or liquid

fires.

• Smaller droplets have larger surface area for cooling

• Smaller droplets also are lighter in weight so usually float without having any distance

(throw) ST15 unique technology gives it a good through and gentleness unlike high

pressure nozzles

• ST15 fights the fire in the flame NOT on the surface like conventional nozzles

• Kinetic Energy + droplet size = efficient mist

• Small droplets = large surface area (heat absorption)

• Small droplets usually = no energy (floating)

• Large droplets too small surface area cant be effective, too wet and too heavy (sink to

floor) (water spray) Rely on surface wetting

• ST15 technology allows perfect energy, not to aggressive like high pressure

Process for Mist

<100 micron:

• Mist Enters flame

• Blocks radiant heat

• Converts to steam 1620:1

expansion & rises

• Does NOT wet surface

• Steam Inert Vapour (gas)

• Steam removes oxygen

• Cooling stops production of

free radicals

• 100% of mist is utilized to

extinguish and cool

Page 13: FireBug ST15 Mist Nozzle Presentation and Videos

Process droplets

From 250 micron - >1000 micron

• Large droplets fall to the surface and wet

the surface

• Cooling surface and fire

• Relying on wetting the surface

• Less than 50% of water is used to

extinguish remainder is wasted (run off)

Fire Water into drainage system

• Run off costs insurance and the user

Billions / year in unnecessary collateral

damage.
