A Note from Paul, Our Founder and Chief Ceramicist

When I founded Fireclay Tile over 25 years

ago, I never imagined being where we are today.

With a team of 30 employees across two factories

manufacturing 5 different products, I couldn’t be

more pleased with what our team has created.

Our goal when we started was simple: make

beautiful tile for customers, the way they want,

when they want. Since then we have evolved to take

a much more sustainable approach to our products

and our operations. Now 15 years after making that

decision we are a recognized leader in sustainable

tile manufacturing.

Today we continue our pursuit with our launch of

Crush 100% Recycled Glass Tile. Like our Debris

Series Recycled Tile that’s been on the market for 15

years, Crush is both beautiful and eco-friendly, and

each order is custom made just like everything we

produce.

We have come a long way as a business, and we

appreciate the tremendous loyalty and dedication

of our customers. With your support, we have

innovated and have continued to push the

boundaries of what is possible with tile.

factories where we can quickly produce materials to fit any

employees have worked at Fireclay for over 15 years, and our

Vitrail Series Handmade TileThe Vitrail Series is a handmade square-edged tile produced on a

white earthenware clay body. Its 112 translucent, crackled glaze colors are inspired by centuries

old European stained glass. Each order is custom made, and each glaze color is lead-free and

handcrafted by our experienced glaze masters.



The Vitrail Series is handmade in California by the Fireclay

Ceramicists. A full range of field sizes, as well as an extensive selection of trim, moldings, and

decorative accent tiles,complement the Vitrail Series’ rich colors. Field and trim sizes and

Hand-painted tiles based on the wax resist technique developed centuries ago in Persia and Spain. Over 180 customizable designs as well four large scale murals and our unique Floreza design.

Hand-pressed tiles that have either a raised outline of the pattern or an embossed press. Over 140 designs to choose from, many of which are available in either single or multi-colored finishes.

Three-dimensional sculpted tiles. Each piece is individually hand-pressed into a plaster mold. Over 350 decorative shapes are available.

Recycled Glass Tile—a handmade, American

crafted glass tile created from 100% recycled

and locally sourced glass.

Invented in Fairbanks, Alaska, and awarded an

EPA Evergreen Award for Pollution Prevention,

Crush is made in Califonia and is available in 40

colors, in both gloss and matte, and 17 different

sizes and shapes.

Manufactured using a unique process, Crush glass

LEAD TIMES Lead times average 4 weeks. Please call to inquire about current lead time, as it may vary depending on the order. Our Crush Recycled Glass Tile ships in 2 weeks and our Express Series Quickship Tile ships in 1 week.

SIzESClaymonde sizes are consistent. Debris, Vitrail, Express and Crush may vary due to the handmade nature of the product.

COLOR VARIATION Claymonde and Crush were designed to have minimal color variation. Debris and Vitrail glaze colors are graded V1 to V4 to represent the extent of possible variation. Color, shade and finish variation can be expected. We recommend that you request a sample prior to placing your order, and that you also understand that finished orders may vary slightly from original samples.
