FIRESTAR™ 700 SERIES

FireStar rolling steel fire doors are a simple andinnovative solution for your safety and fire protectionneeds. Critical elements necessary in the reliablefunction of fire doors are incorporated as standardfeatures with FireStar’s revolutionary design.

SafetyThe FireStar door can be drop tested easily and reset ina matter of seconds at any time; no tools or servicetechnicians are required. Please note that this can bedone in addition to the door’s required annual inspectionby a trained door systems technician. By self-testingthroughout the year, facility personnel can be even moreconfident that their door will function safely in the eventof fire.

The drop-out mechanism is designed to eliminate downtime during drop testing while the viscous governortechnology results in smoother, quieter door operation.

ReliabilityFireStar’s revolutionary design uses apatent-pending planetary gear on the drop-outmechanism ensuring years of reliable service anddrop-out performance.

Factory tested and approved for a minimum of20,000 cycles, the FireStar door can be used andtested on a regular basis without concerns ofpremature failure.

FireStar fire doors have been tested andapproved to meet the requirements of wellknown agencies, such as UnderwritersLaboratories and Factory Mutual, and conform toNFPA Standard 80.

SimplicityWayne-Dalton incorporates one standardizedcomponent design for all FireStar doorsregardless of size, and utilizes fewer parts thanother models. This helps to ensure more accurateinstallations and reduces the possibility ofpotential service calls in the future.

And as an added benefit, eliminating one of thefusible link cables helps the door and surroundingarea look cleaner and less cluttered. It alsoreduces the risk of cable interference with othernearby fixtures.
