SINAMICS application classesApplication view

The commissioning Wizard for G120 Control Units with PM240, PM240-2 and PM330 – as well as for G120C – has beenrevised with firmware version V4.7 SP3. Within the scope of revising and simplifying the commissioning Wizard, theSINAMICS application classes "Standard Drive Control", "Dynamic Drive Control" and "Expert" were introduced.

For "Standard Drive Control", when switching on for the first time, a shortened motor identification routine is carried out,and then the drive immediately ramps up to the specified setpoint. This setting cannot be changed.

For "Dynamic Drive Control", as default setting, a shorter motor identification routine after switching on for the first timewith subsequent ramp up to the setpoint is selected. We recommend a rotating measurement to achieve a higheraccuracy and dynamic performance of the closed-loop control. In this case after the rotating measurement, you can selectwhether the drive ramps up immediately to the specified setpoint, or a new switch-on command is first required.

Under "Expert", you can find the classic wizards with the full range of setting options. With this setting, a motoridentification routine is only optionally carried out. For the motor identification, you can select whether the drive shouldimmediately ramp-up to the specified setpoint, or a new switch-on command is first required.

The new commissioning Wizard will only be supported from STARTER version V4.4 SP1, Startdrive V13 SP1 withhardware support package V4.7 SP3 and IOP V1.6.

Automatic PID controller optimizationThe optimization technique is parameterizedaccording to the required results regardingovershoot behavior – as well as rise times andcorrection times of the control variable. A setpointstep is injected into the control system. From thestep response, the delay time, correction time andloop gain are measured – and then controlparameters KP, TN, and TV are calculated by theinverter.

Fast flying restart with PM330 and e.g. SIMOTICS FD

The inverter can be reliably and quickly connected to a rotating FD motorwithout any disturbance

General functionality:1. After the ON command, the inverter impresses a searchcurrent in the motor and increases the output frequency.2.
