Songs of Praise 11:00 a.m. Worship Service

How Great Thou Art

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder

Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made.

I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder.

Thy power throughout the universe displayed

Then sings my soul, my Savior God to thee;

How great Thou art, how great Thou art.

Then sings my soul, my Savior God to thee;

How great Thou art, how great Thou art.

And when I think that God, His Son not sparing,

Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in.

That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,

He bled and died to take away my sin.

(Refrain)

Holy, Holy, Holy

Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy,

Holy is the Lord God almighty.

Worthy to receive glory, worthy to receive honor.

Worthy to receive all our praise today.

Praise Him, praise Him and lift Him up.

Praise Him, exalt His name for ever.

Praise Him, praise Him and lift Him up.

Praise Him, exalt His name for ever.

Responsive Scripture Reading Luke 1:39-57 NIV

LEADER: At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill

country of Judea,

PEOPLE: Where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth.

LEADER: When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

PEOPLE: In a loud voice she exclaimed; “Blessed are you among

women, and blessed is the child you will bear!

LEADER: But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

PEOPLE: As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the

baby in my womb leaped for joy. LEADER: Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to

her will be accomplished!” PEOPLE: And Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord LEADER: And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, PEOPLE: For he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant.

From now on all generations will call me blessed, LEADER: For the Mighty One has done great things for me… holy is His

name.

PEOPLE: His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation. LEADER: He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. —-Next Page
