Let’s Step Up Together This Summer
Part of our “Together We Make a Difference” theme is the phrase “Stepping Up Together.” Stepping Up Together means each of us looking at our level of commitment and service, and together doing more.
You know, I don’t think Jesus ever told anyone to step back. He always calls us to STEP UP, doesn’t he?
We have before us opportunities to help people, share hope, and be the presence of Christ in our community and world. In response to these opportunities, we have the challenge to step up, do our part, and make a difference. Step up daily and step up together!
Jesus promises that He will build His church, but He does it through people—people stepping up to the challenge.
Let me continue to challenge us in our giving. If all of us will step up together—not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice—we will able to fully fund all of our ministries and even be able to do more. If our giving doesn’t keep up to our ministry spending, we will have to make tough choices regarding our budget for the rest of the year.
Again, this is our opportunity to respond to a great challenge. Step up to the (offering) plate! Pun intended.
In Christ—
Pastor Mike
