Fitness / Recreation Ministry

REBOOT First Responders Rotation-02, Wednesdays starting August 26, 2020

Online registration is now open at

www.rebootrecovery.com/responders This free course will be either on campus or online,

depending on COVID-19 status Wednesdays, 5:45-7 pm (*on campus; space is limited)

OR Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45 pm (Zoom online) (*Dinner if possible; no childcare provided

unless the COVID situation improves significantly) * * * *

In other news,…

we have added some greatly needed classes for our Rock Steady boxers fighting against Parkinson’s disease,

we are considering our options for this coming Upward sea-son, dependent upon the COVID-19 situation,

we pray and prepare to launch a boys’ ministry this fall. * * * *

Otherwise … we are still in a holding pattern regarding the Fitness and Sports recreation we can offer. The June 15,

2020 COVID-19 report from the governor dictates that we will continue with our current fitness class schedule until fur-ther notice.

Go to www.fbcrecreation.com, Facebook at FBC Fitness Stronger than Yesterday, or Facebook FBCHS Member to Member for more information, resource links, and updates.

Be encouraged, brothers and sisters. God is working. He has been faithful in our past. He is faithful today and tomorrow!

Until we all fall down, Wallace

We have a great free resource available to all church members. There are over 20,000 videos and Bible studies to choose from. For more information, go to our website at firsthotsprings.com.

Education / Outreach Ministry

Adult Connect Groups Onsite We had 6 Connect Groups (in red) meet onsite this past Sunday with 70 people. We had one group on Monday with 21 for a total of 91. The schedule is below, but some groups are waiting a while before they start. So, be sure to check with your leaders to see when your group will get going onsite. Remember, this is Only for Adult Connect Groups. We DO NOT have childcare yet. And I still need to warn Sen-ior Adults and those with compromised immune systems to be cautious. If your group has chosen not to meet, we certainly un-derstand and there is no judgement. Later on when you feel comfortable, call me and we will make arrange-ments. Individuals may still want to attend another group in the meantime. Here’s the schedule:

Home Watch Parties & Bible Study Whether or not your group is meeting Onsite or not; you could still have Watch Parties in your home. If you are comfortable, you could have 3-10 people at a time to par-ticipate in our Online Worship. Then you could have a Bible Study too. You could invite guests, especially your One to join you. What a great outreach and fellowship time as well. If you host a group in your home or other location, would you please report to me via email please.

Sanitizing our Facilities For your information and peace of mind, our custodians work hard to sanitize all restrooms and high touch sur-faces throughout our facilities. Furthermore, we are hav-ing our facilities fogged once a week with a sanitizing mist to make sure all surfaces have been disinfected.

Given to Date: $13,801

Back-To-School Prayer Walk Wednesday, August 5 @ 7 pm

Please mark this date on your calendar for our an-nual Back-To-School Prayer Walk. More info in the weeks to come. Our local schools, students, teach-ers, administration, and workers need our prayers for the coming year. So much uncertainty lingers for them as well. We want to be very intentional in interceding for them in the coming year. This will be one of the ways we have planned to show our sup-port for them and our community.

Beginning Monday, July 27 The library will be open on Mondays at 10 am.
