Interference between mixing and decay would allow to compute sin 2α a-la sin2β

Tree & penguin diagram have comparable size. Their interference:

introduces a strong phase difficult to compute

may induce a sizable amount of direct CP violation

Time dependent analysis across the ρπ Dalitz plot permits – in principle – an unambiguous measurement of α
