Welcome to the First Family

First Edition - page 2

School has started back and many of our families have gotten back into their “normal routine.” Let’s make sure Jesus and church are part of that routine. Seeing all the children and teachers for the Blessing of the Backpacks was special. As a church, let’s continue to pray for our school systems and all that is involved. Spirit Night was worth the wait! What an awesome sight to see all the young people gathered at the altar. Todd Keene did such a good job not only using his strength but also challenging the students in their Christian commitment. Friday night football is such a special time in our community with the bands, cheerleaders, coaches and players. By the way, Todd Keene and the Power Team are coming back to our church the rst part of 2015. Several reminders I hope you will consider: The Marriage Conference with Gary Chapman is coming this weekend. Anything that can strengthen marriages is a good investment of your time. Also, check out the Sunday night and Wednesday schedule. There is something for every age. Continue to pray for Je . He will start his treatments soon. So many in our church are facing health issues. Our prayers are for God’s healing touch to happen in so many lives. Prayer works. My sermons will continue from the book of Acts. The series emphasizes that “He can make a Way”. The great truth is that God can make a way when there seems to be no way. His way is always the right way. So many choose the wrong way and miss out on God’s way. It is amazing how so many agree with the information about God, but miss the adventure He has for them. Bring your Bibles and hear God’s voice speaking to your heart. Have a good two weeks. May God bless each of you. Your Pastor, Jerry Romans 8:39
