On behalf of the Victoria County Senior Citizens Centers, I would personally like to say, “Thank You” for the generous donation of $10,000.00, which helped provide meals for over 100 congregate patrons and over 170 homebound shut-in clients of ours, along with gasoline for transporting our people, and other needed items that help with the comforts of our family members. This wonderful monetary donation helped show our family members God’s true love and compassion for them. Words cannot express how deep-ly appreciative we are for ya’lls support shown towards our centers family. May God continue to bless the First English Lutheran Church members and your Heritage Day Fundraiser, so that ya’ll may continue to help others.

Debbie Garner - Exec. Director

Thank you for all the caring prayers for me during my recent hospital stay for surgery and my recuperation. Many thanks to Pastor Jim and Bonnie's visits (as well as others who visited and sent cards). FELC blesses me abundantly! In Christ's love, Sharon Church

Thank you, Church Family, for your gracious donations of blood during our Blood Drive February 28th. The Blood Bank appreciates your taking time to give the gift of life and the BOSC appreciates your time and selfless act of giving! God bless you! Board of Social Concerns

A huge, huge thank you to all the FELC members for graciously and generously providing Midcoast Family Services with food and monies for the Easter bags. Being able to assist the less fortunate at Easter time should warm your hearts. You truly are a blessing for others in our Victoria community! Many, many thanks! Board of Social Concerns

Everyone’s prayers, thoughts, visits, cards and expressions of concern during Mel’s recent hospitals stay are appreciated. Our heavenly Father granted healing and continues providing strength for recovery. Thank you for your support expressed in behalf of me and my family. May you all be blessed with His abiding love, Mel and Fern Roessler

LUTHERANS FOR LIFE - Dr. Barbara Lane Geistfeld, the Lutherans for Life Regional Director of Texas, will present a talk covering different Sanctity of Life issues on Sunday, April 17, 2016, during the Adult Sunday School class. The mission of Lutherans for Life is to equip Lutheran Christians to be Gospel-motivated voices for Life in their homes, their churches, and their communities. Please come and learn what these many issues are and how we as Christians can become voices for hope and healing. Then, on Monday, April 18, Dr. Geistfeld will meet with all who attend the FELCW General Meeting to inform them of Owen's Mission, a Lutherans for Life project that will place a set of Touch of Life Fetal Models in every Lutheran elementary and high school in the United States. We encourage everyone to attend.
