he works primarily in community organizing and social
services in the Milwaukee area. He is a grant writer, an

When will I ever learn to say Amen,
Really assent at last to anything?
For now my hesitations always bring
Some reservation in their trail, and then
Each reservation brings new hesitations;
All my intended amens just collapse
In an evasive mumble: well, perhaps,
Let me consider all the implications . . .
But you can read my heart, I hear you say:
For once be present to me, I am here,
Breathe in the perfect love that casts out fear
Open you heart and let your yea be yea.
Oh bring me to that brink, that moment when
I see your full-eyed love and say Amen.

The repertoire includes works of Berstein, Hegge, Aldridge and
many of Erin and Ryan's other favorite modern American
composers for the musical and operatic stage. This is the
second in Belle Ensemble's series of Pro Populo recitals,
given absolutely free of charge.

Calling all young visual artists: Create your own version of a Monster or Meanie!
The Racine Belle Ensemble is hosting a "Monsters & Meanies" concert at
the Racine Public Library on Saturday, October 26 @ 2pm (sponsored by the

I confess to my brokenness:

And I confess my unwillingness to forgive
those who have wounded me

and the earth.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

We would like to begin to use the young people as acolytes again. To that
end, we need to know who would be interested in the program. We will be
having some training for acolytes as soon as we have gathered the names of
those who would be interested. We will offer training for the young people but
would also like to have the parents, grandparents, etc. attend so everyone
knows what being an acolyte entails. This will allow the younger members to
help lead us in worship. The minimum age for an acolyte will be 10 years old.
Please call Pam Simpson at 262-637-2275, to add your young person’s name to
the list of those who wish to have the training. Due to busy schedules of most
young people, we plan to offer the training on Sunday after worship, when we
are here anyway! Please call Pam by July 8, so we can get things organized
and bring back our younger acolytes.
