SAT/PSAT Tests Set for Tuesday

After Return From Spring Break

The state-wide SAT/PSAT test is set for April 10, the Tuesday after cadets return from Spring Break.

“We want cadets to be well prepared for the test,” said FSMA School Counselor Ms. Clark. “It is im-portant for cadets to try their best on the test.”

Khan Academy offers some tips on taking the test:

Relax! There are a lot of good reasons NOT to study the night before Test Day. Your brain needs to rest in or-

der to do its best.

Avoid screen time. You're going to need to get a good night's sleep, and bright screens (televisions, phones,

movies) will wake up your brain.

Have a healthy din-ner the night before the test. Drink lots of water and load up

with complex carbo-hydrates.

On test day - Wake up early and have a healthy breakfast. Here are a few good choices: eggs, toast, cereal, bagel, fruit, juice, cheese, milk.

Free practice tests are available at Khan Academy website.

Students can login and take eight different practice tests and re-ceived feedback on

areas that need more emphasis.

To login, go to khan-academy.org - SAT Practice.

The 2018 school yearbook is complete.

The final pages were submitted to the school’s publisher, Jos-tens, March 16.

“We are proud of how the yearbook turned-out,” said Yearbook Co-advisor Mrs. Cook. “This will be the first yearbook with seniors and those pages will be special for our graduating cadets.”

The senior pages in-cludes a 1 1/2 by 2 inch

picture of each senior in dress blues along with a favorite quote and a list of all the teams and clubs they participated in during their time at FSMA.

This year’s yearbook also includes a two-page spread of senior superlatives.

The theme for the yearbook is based on the learning system

Echo - and the cover gives the feeling of log-ging into Echo for to-day’s latest news and class assignments.

Yearbooks can still be purchased online at jostensyearbooks.com for $50.

Delivery of the year-books is expected in mid-May.
