We tend to busy ourselves with all the physical aspects, but we should allow some time and energy to help us prepare spiritually. Recognizing how important this is, our church has the season of Advent, which consists of the 4 Sundays prior to Christmas. This advent season, we should seek to deepen our relationship with Jesus, so we can embrace more of what Christ has to truly offer this Christmas. Have a Blessed Christmas —Deacon John Lammers

like a Mass intention during that time he can celebrate a Mass

for you in India. Please talk to Fr. Francis or contact the office.

Mass Intentions are available for all weekday Masses

for a stipend of $10. They can be for a deceased person or for the

intentions of a living person or in thanksgiving for a special

occasion.

CHRISTMAS FLOWERS Donation envelopes for Christmas Flowers

can be found in the pews. If you like, you

can donate in memory of a loved one. Their

names will be listed in the church and in the

Christmas bulletin.

2018 BOXED ENVELOPES Are available at the entrance of the church.

of envelopes to ensure it is correct and up-to-

We also have 2018 Workbooks for Lectors available

through the parish office for $10. These workbooks

include pronunciation guides, introductions and

definitions to help you better proclaim the Word.

ADVENT & CHRISTMAS MINISTRIES Sign-up sheets are at the back of the church for

4th Sunday of Advent, Christmas Eve, Christmas

Day and New Year’s Day. Please sign up for a

liturgical ministry if you are able.

There is also a sign up sheet for families to light the

advent candles for all four Sundays of Advent.

CWL DUES St. Philip’s and Holy Rosary CWL dues are due. They

CHRISTMAS FOR EVERYONE St. Philip’s CWL has put a “Christmas for Everyone”

tree up at the back of the church. Please take a tag and

buy a gift for a child. The unwrapped gifts will be

going to Christmas for Everyone in Petrolia.
