The students are required to undertake only those projects where there are managerial problems for which solutions can be arrived at through systematic process, by applying the concepts learnt in the first year. 2. The objectives of the summer project are: a. Observing and learning the application of core management concepts in industry environment b. Studying and analyzing the intensity of generic managerial problems and providing solutions to the same 3. The students are advised to take necessary guidance from the Project Guides, before taking up the projects. 4. The students are advised to collect the project requisition letters from the HOD. Initially 3 copies will be given to each student and subsequent copies, if needed can be duplicated. 5. The students should take individual interest to approach companies and get projects. 6. All the students should take project offer letter from the companies and a copy of the letter should be handed over to the respective guides on or before the specified deadline 7. After the completion of the project, the students should collect Project Completion Letter from the companies, where they did their projects and a copy of the same should be handed over to the project guides. Original certificate should be produced for verification on the day of the Project Presentation. The students will not be permitted to submit the project without project completion letters. 8. The project should be arranged in the following order.

Guidelines for I year MBA Summer Project 2011-12

9. Format for each page is given in the following pages.10. Binding Instructions: Soft Binding - Blue Colour. Use A4 Sheets only.

11. One hard copy should be submitted.

12. Chapter Text should be neatly typed in Font:12, Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing, Alignment: justified

13. All sub headings should be typed in font size 12, bold, caps, in 1.5 line spacing in the order - 1.1, 1.2 etc., for CHAPTER 1, and so on.

14. The total number of typed pages including pictures, tables, graphs, photos etc., should not exceed 50 pages starting from page: “CHAPTER 1”. However no project which is less than 25 pages will be accepted.

15. Students are advised to check for grammar, spelling mistakes and line alignment before submitting the final draft to the Project Guide.

16. Pages upto the last page of “TABLE OF CONTENTS” should be numbered in Roman Numerals - I, II, III, IV etc. While pages from “CHAPTER 1” should be numbered normally - 1,2,3,4,5 etc. “REFERENCE” pages need not be numbered.

17. “REFERENCE” sections should be given at the end - After all the chapters. The references should be arranged alphabetically in times new roman-12, with 1.5 line spacing, in the following lines

b. “Spice Telcom takes a giant leap in VAS”, www.thetimesofindia.com, 21st
