Fish Tuning’s Universal Ford switches are orange and white and come with two positap connectors for installation. The universal switches can be used for both FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR and CHARGE AIR COOLER location.

Fish tuning’s new plug-and-play Ford EZ LYNK and SCT switches have two options: tan and white 2-pin for 2011-2014 and orange and tan 5-pin for 2015-2017. NOTE: THESE ARE ONLY FOR THE TUNES USING THE FUEL TEMP SENSOR AS THE SOTF LOCATION

Preparing your 5 pin FTEMP Ford SOTF Switch (2015-2018)

Place the seals in the three holes as shown and then place the two wires in the remaining holes. It does not matter which wire goes in which hole. The seals should be pressed flush after you're done. I left them slightly up to make it easier to see.

Install the pins oriented with the open or crimp side facing out like this:

Gently press them in. Make sure the pin goes through the small hole on the other side and press

until the pin clicks into place. Hold the wire as close to the rubber seal as possible while

pressing. Do not press too hard or you might break the tip. If it won't click and just pulls back

out, pry out the rubber seal and try pushing the pin the last tiny bit with needle nose pliers

holding the pin like this. Make sure the pin is through the seal the correct way and that you put

the pin in the correct hole. Removing the installed pins without breaking the connector is quite

tricky:

If that still doesn't work, please call fish tuning at (310) 499-0989 and we'll help you solve the

problem. Sometimes these pins can be very hard to snap in.

If you have a 2011-2014 Powerstroke and you were sent the 2 pin connector, all you have to do to

prepare the switch is just put the two wires in each hole, doesn’t have to be specific, just put

them in there and follow the steps below.

Wiring up the SOTF (2011-2018)

FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR SOTF Step 1: Locate your fuel temperature sensor

Step 2: Run the SOTF wires through the rubber grommet on the inside of the firewall using

something to make an incision with.(BE VERY CAREFUL)Then running a fish wire into the

truck from the outside of the firewall so you can tape the switch wires to the fish wire and pull it

back through into the engine bay

Step 3: Run your wires to the Fuel temp sensor location, unplug the fuel temperature sensor,

and then simply plug in the triangle switch end into the female plug that you took off. If it is a

2011-2014 powerstroke the fuel temp sensor will have two wires. If it’s a 2015+ it will have a 4

wire fuel temp sensor. Please make sure you have the right switch for the truck getting tuned.

Once you have the switch plugged into its appropriate sensor, your SOTF will now be active.

Universal SOTF install (FTEMP)

The only difference with this install is that you will be using a positap to splice into the fuel

temperature sensor. Look for one green wire and one green wire with a white line on it. Splice

into those two. Polarity does not matter. Here is a picture for reference below.

CAC SENSOR CONNECT SOTF install

(CHARGE AIR COOLER SENSOR)

This setup would only be needed when you are told that the tune file you received is using the

CAC sensor location to enable the SOTF. The switch will come with a sensor connect. It is very

simple to install. Just have to run the wires through the fire wall then gear up the sensor piece.

Step 1: Locate the charge air cooler sensor and disconnect it

Some of the newer models will have the sensor located right on the top instead of underneath

Step 2: Run the switch wires through the rubber grommet on the driver’s side firewall. Once

you have the wires in the engine bay, best way to route the wires is up and around the battery

just to avoid the wires getting caught up somewhere else.

Once you have the wires plugged into the sensor connect, simply plug it into the CAC sensor.

The SOTF will now have power and be able to control the tunes.
