LFA 36 Season Extension Data Collection

• 10-day extension at the end of their season

• Must implement a monitoring program to show no harm to the stock

• 3-year pilot with an additional year due to insufficient data collected in 2020 due to COVID-19

• Spring 2021 season set to begin on March 31 with 27 participants

2020 Season

• 18 participants

• 54 science traps in the water from around mid-May to early-July (due to the scallop fishing season)

• 5271 lobsters caught in 824 trap hauls, an average of 6.39 lobsters/trap haul
