Inland and coastal waters are part of the nation's heritage, often forming the beauty of our surroundings. The huge interest in water recreation puts great demands on these resources.
At all times we must ensure that our fish, wildlife and environment are protected for the future of angling as a sport, not just here at Hinchingbrooke, but at all venues across the country. In order to do this we must show respect by keeping these key points uppermost in our thoughts

Fishing is co-ordinated byBrampton Angling Society.A valid Environment Agencyrod licence is required.
There is no fishing during the closed season from

th th1. There is NO fishing during the closed season, 15 March to the 15 June inclusive.2. Fishing is allowed from dawn to dusk. NO night fishing.3. All tackle and other equipment must be kept on platforms or in swims and not
obstruct the paths.4. Anglers must keep platforms, swims and surrounding area tidy and litter free. All
litter in the area is the responsibility of the angler. All litter should be taken home.5. If tackle is lost out of reach the Rangers must be informed.6. Anglers may not cut back vegetation, clear or dig out swims without prior permission
of the Rangers.7. Three platforms for disabled anglers are available. Able-bodied anglers using these
must move if requested by a disabled angler.8. It is recommended that an adult accompanies junior anglers.9. NO fish are to be transferred from other waters, or between waters in the Park. NO
fish are to be removed from the Park.10. The Rangers have the right to shut swims without notice for the purpose of
maintenance or repairs11. NO boating or swimming is allowed.12. All normal angling methods and baits are allowed.13. Excessive pre- baiting and excessive use of ground bait is not permitted. Please
take surplus bait home, do not leave in or around swims or in the water.14. Barb-less hooks are recommended.15. The fish in the lake can grow to a considerable size; adequate breaking strain line
must be used. If fishing for pike or carp a minimum breaking strain of 10-12lbs is recommended. An appropriate sized landing net should be used.
16. Wire traces must be used at all times when fishing for pike and adequate unhooking facilities should be at hand.
17. For the welfare of the fish it is recommended that unhooking mats are used.18. Respect all other users of the lake.
