FIVB SWATCH World Tour « xx » Open presented by (promoter’s sponsor)

► The Open is an annual series of events, part of the SWATCH-FIVB World Tour, staged in wonderful locations. ► The Open also give the opportunity to athletes from all 5 continents to enjoy Beach Volleyball at the highest level and to develop professionally over a period of at least 7 months a year. Each team competes for prize money and World Ranking/Olympic Ranking points. At the end of the season, the best ranked team of the FIVB SWATCH World Tour is recognized with a special award

► The Open can be organized as a single or double gender event. ► All events feature in a prestigious TV package of highlight programmes, which are distributed by the FIVB on a global scale. Open events provide tremendous opportunities to enhance hosting cities, sponsors, National Team programs, and tourism programmes.

► International and national sponsorship programmes are integrated respectively by the FIVB and local organisations. The FIVB is responsible for distributing and selling the TV rights of each event internationally, while local organizers have the right to enter into an agreement with a national host broadcaster for their respective events

•Olympic Games qualification tournaments from January 1, 2011 until July, 2012 where World Ranking points will be awarded•Exclusive dates in the calendar – no clash with major continental or intercontinental events •Full exclusivity for all major Beach Volleyball events (for the same gender’s category) in the Host Country during the term of the agreement and first right of refusal for other types of event in the same country (for the same gender’s category) •FIVB sponsors will supply their services and materials as per contract (2 electronic scoreboards and speed serving devices on the centre court; uniforms for all players, FIVB delegates, etc.)•Scoreboard publicity

•1 year commitment to stage the event with a renewal close for the 2013-2016 season•Venue of minimum 3,000 seats including VIP section for 300-400 people (no VIP roof necessary) and a secured area of 20 seats for the FIVB. Facilities as per the FIVB Handbook, minimum of 4 competition courts for single gender event and 6/8 for double gender event, plus 2 warm-up courts (including sand and court equipment). Working rooms and lounge may be set-up in existing permanent venue if adjacent to the courts. •USD 110,000 prize money per gender’s event, net of any deductions and trophies for the top 3 teams

•32 teams competing in a three-day Main Draw and a limited number of teams in a 1 day (or 2-day) qualification tournament•Production of branding around the playing courts, outside court scoreboards, participating country flags, promotional material, platform, commentary position, FIVB panels etc•Board & lodging for 32 Main Draw teams per gender event (until the day after the elimination), and for FIVB delegates, FIVB officials and local officials

•1 major TV host broadcaster to produce the basic feed, with minimum 6 TV cameras, 1 slow-motion for semi-final and final games, an ENG crew and news facilities shall be provided for 1/2 full days. •A national host broadcaster shall sign an agreement with the FIVB to confirm an event in the calendar of the following season•Static panel as per Handbook. If a rotating paneling system on the centre court is used, positions 9 and 10 will be maintained for static FIVB sponsors. Timing of the rotating will be as per FIVB marketing regulations. •Professional organizational structure, with long-term experience in managing, promoting and marketing successful Open tournaments or similar types of sports events

•Organizing chart with an active, full-time, dedicated structure working in an equipped office at least one year before the start of the event•Organizing chart with an active, full-time, dedicated structure, operating for a minimum of one year before the event•Per diem/travel allowance (as per FIVB financial regulations) for five international referees for single gender event and seven for double gender event•Eight local official referees for single gender event and 12-14 for double gender event, court personnel and auxiliary officials•International travel for all FIVB delegates (one Media Operations Delegate, one Technical Supervisor, one Referee Delegate, one Medical Delegate, five to seven neutral International Referees and one TV Coordinator )

•Local transport for all FIVB delegates, FIVB officials, sponsors, consultants and Main Draw teams•1 inspection visit for 1 FIVB TV coordinator/FIVB Technical Supervisor including international & local travel expenses, board & lodging + a flat fee (USD 300) to the FIVB Technical Supervisor only.•Responsibility for all taxes and duties on prize money, materials etc•Use of FIVB sports equipment•Selection and training of host country referees, auxiliary referee personnel and court personnel•Promotional plan and event publicity on a national scale to guarantee full stadium

•Press facilities (equipped), Press centre personnel, organization of press conferences, and PR company as per Handbook.•Personnel and professional entertainers for an effective entertainment programme, side events and village•Obligation to promote the event always through the FIVB SWATCH World Tour (60 per cent) associated to the tournament title (40 per cent)•Insurance to cover risk of damage to people at the venue•Printing and developing of photographic material to be circulated to the parties concerned; set up and maintenance of a website•Hospitality, protocol, catering and side events offered to sponsors, VIPs athletes and media•Administrative costs of the event’s secretariat, including translator and security, and equipment

•Meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) for FIVB officials, referees and Main Draw athletes•Official meeting, preliminary inquiry, technical meeting, awards ceremony and accreditations•Team entry through World Ranking•Two seats at the World Council meeting, one for the promoter and one for the national federation•SWATCH kids’ camp and environmental and development programmes•Medical control, first aid area and medical staff as per Handbook•FIVB annual fee of minimum USD 10,000•Hosting national federation fee (not to be higher than the FIVB fee) excluding additional services to be agreed between federation and promoter
