OVER-ALL ASSESSMENT
The incessant desire to carry-out our mandate has continuously
made PDEA the prime Agency in combating illegal drugs. The ef-fort does not only rest on street pushers in the barangay but in-
cludes affluent personalities who likewise, had been entangled in drug dependency that enslaved them, notwithstanding their social status.
For this period, the five (5) District Offices, three (3) Seaport Inter-
diction Units and four (4) terminals of NAIA-DITG have contributed efforts
to bring in successful operations resulting to 57 Buy-bust Operations, 4 Search Warrant Operations, 2 Interdiction, and 1 Turn Over with the total of
64 Anti-Drug Operations conducted. Among the said operations, there are 6 High Impact Operations out of 64 negation operations, 29 High Value
Targets out of 188 total arrests.
Also, 63 Intelligence Operations and 52 Joint Operations with other
LEAs and 56 Barangay Cleared (Serious – 4; Moderate – 28; and Slight – 24) within this month which is equivalent to 11 High Impact Operations.
The operations conducted have total confiscations of PHP 24.5 Million of illegal drugs.
This is a proof of harmonious atmosphere of cooperation with
the community. Successful operations have an impact that leaves
the community to continually trust law enforcers and gives as-surance that the government is serious in its campaign
against illegal drugs.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Continuous surveillance and casing operations are now being
made for the conduct of negation operations, including forth with high impact operations, on this coming month.
Equal significance are given in promoting Anti-Drug Advocacy
Campaign and empowering OLEAs in carrying out the Barangay Drug Clearing Program, consonant with the guidelines employed by ICAD.
OVERVIEW OF THE REGIONAL DRUG SITUATION
The unrelenting desire to release the barangays from the clutches of dangerous drug have now resulted to a
significant total of Two hundred Seventy Nine (279) drug-
cleared barangays . Anti-drug efforts must be sustained consider-ing that initial success have been determined.
Shabu remains to be
the number one drug of choice in the region
even with the exist-ence of other dangerous drugs such as Ecstacy, Cocaine, Hashish and
Marijuana.
Notwithstanding the
great numbers of drug
personalities in Metro
Manila, a significant
total of sixty barangays have been declared as drug-free, consonant with
the stated barangay drug clearing parameters by the DDB. Evidently,
adamant desire to free the society from dangerous d r ug s
remain unfiltered despite the omnipresent
odds.
Drug Trafficking Trends
Placement of drug den has become less apparent due to the
pressure brought by barangay drug clearing operations. Illegal drug manufac-turing becomes less desirable on the part of drug syndicates who have shifted to
illegal importation of dangerous drugs which posed lesser risk but great reward.

OVER-ALL ASSESSMENT
Being with the capital of the country, the National Capital Region (NCR) became the center of all types and kinds of businesses which includes
the illegal drug trade. Modes of transportations, point of entries and exits contributed to the relentless circulation of prohibited drugs in NCR. Nev-
ertheless, this Regional Office is dedicated to fight the illegal drugs through practicing the principle of 3Cs, Cooperation, Coordination and
Camaraderie, to effectively implement our mandate. With the help of Other Law Enforcement Agencies (OLEAs) in the conduct of Anti-Drug Advocacy Campaign, Barangay Drug Clearing Program and Inter-Agency
Committee on Illegal Drugs Programs, this principle is proven efficient and powerful tool to battle not only illegal drugs but every unlawful acts
as well. Constant communication with the community is also an aid to successfully perform the Agency’s mission and vision in line with the President’s campaign against illegal drug activities. Encouraged, deter-
mined and positive, this Office believes that this major challenges will eventually be won!
