The journey embarked in the year 1997 when Dr. T. Jayaraman, MS (Ortho), D. Ortho., set up the Annai Theresa Institute of paramedical sciences while caring for the people of Salem and neighbouring places in the field of orthopedics. Later in the year 2004 Dr. TJ (as he is lovably known) dedicated the 40 bedded Teejay Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology Pvt. Ltd. specializing in advanced orthopedic care. The devotion of Dr. TJ towards treating patients found Salem's most comprehensive centre for emergency & poly trauma care, orthopedic surgery, joint replacement, neuro surgery, plastic surgery, hematology & transfusion medicine, toxicology, burns, obstetrics & gynecology and ICU care.

Dr. TJ has been in the medical field for more than 35 years as a renowned orthopedic surgeon. Clinical excellence has been Dr. TJ's passion all along his career and always pursued what is best for the patient. His only son, Dr. J.
