MEET FIWARE AT SCEWC’17
Our aim is to accompany cities in their transformation
journey. This involves breaking existing information
silos by means of integrating vertical smart solutions,
as well as data coming from deployed sensor networks
and other systems. Creating a holistic representation
of what is happening in the City, on top of which city
governance support systems can be developed. Then,
unleashing the potential of Right-time Open Data
supporting the development of innovative services by
third parties, particularly startups and SMEs. Ultimately,
this will transform the City into a platform enabling the
Data Economy.
FIWARE brings the standards that make all of this
happen. It offers Open API standards and information
models based on which cities can build ecosystems
where they can connect and collaborate. This enables
the creation of interoperable and portable solutions
that can be adapted and replicated for the needs of
each city.
Check out FIWARE activities at the SCEWC. Take
the opportunity to attend the sessions where we
will elaborate on our recent developments and meet
members of the growing FIWARE Community!

City Enabler for Digital Urban Services (CEDUS) is an EIT initiative that provides a FIWARE-based software for crawling and collecting valuable data at urban scale, supporting decision making processes, and allowing fast delivery of new digital urban services. The solution prevents data silos in the context of the city collecting information from different sources in a single collaborative place. It applies to open, sensor, free, closed, and linked data.
