About this course
This course is appropriate for personnel involved in Oil & Gas,
Mining and other Industrial sectors where fixed radiation
gauges are used. This course is aligned with the Code of
Practice and Safety Guide for the Safe Use of Fixed Radiation
Gauges. This course has the approval of all Australian State/
Territory regulators as a pre-requisite for licensing as a fixed
radiation gauge Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).
Assessment
Core Paper: Closed book exam, 1-hour multiple choice
covering general radiation safety.
Main Paper: Open book exam, 2-hour written paper
covering the safe use of fixed gauges.
Please be aware that exam results will be available no
sooner than three (3) weeks after the date taken.
This course is aligned with the ARPANSA Code of
Practice and Safety Guide.
Certification
Upon successful completion of this course trainees will be
issued with a Statement of Attainment for the Safe Use of Fixed
Radiation Gauges and qualification for pre-requisite approval
for licensing in all Australian States/Territories.
